This challenging, lengthy adventure has its flaws.

Immersive, gives you a good idea of what it's like to be alone on an alien world.
Futuristic techno soundtrack.
A good selection of upgrades and power-ups.
Great boss fights.
Areas from earlier in the game change over the course of the game.
Of course, I wouldn't rate this "good" if it weren't for the flaws. Con time!
Majority of environments are dull and boring.
Hard to discover secrets lead you backtracking and blankly walking around for a real snooze-a-rama.
Animations makes me SICK. People who get motion sickness easily, BEWARE.
Enemy respawn rate is ridiculous.
Save points are inconveniently located.
Sometimes there is an endless string of enemies from room to room, and if you die you GO BACK TO A MILE-AWAY SAVE POINT.
Overall, this game is worth playing (especially if you are a Metroid fan). There are noticeable flaws, but if you are willing to forget them and concentrate on the good things, you might want to consider renting (or buying) it.
