Hitman: Then and Now (PlayStation 3)

It's great to see how square revived all of these great Eidoes games. Deus ex, Tomb Raider, Hitman... here's hoping for a new Legacy of Kain game.

its all great but you know hitman isn't all about ether action or stealth only. what made me love hitman is you can play it a hundred times and still do things differently so many ways to KILL OR NOT KILL someone so and allows you to get creative do i wanna bomb the target or maybe poison him do i wanna snipe him or go guns blazzing also there is this level of social i dunno what for example if your a target is a doctor you can dress as a patient to get to him or like that level in the opera you can dress like an actor and go on to the stage so its not only about changing your outfit to lose your heat but to use it as a tool to get to the target while all they have done sounds amazing those are some of the things that made hitman stand so far apart from many other shooters or action games and its like the DNA of hitman and if you loose that while you still have an awesome action game it wont be hitman so i hope they are taking this into there consideration am sorry my English is weak just wanted to share anyway only time will tell >:)

@Banefire76 ah, I see where you're coming from. Especially liked the Paris Hilton quip but hopefully they don't throw the Hitman series that way. Maybe they'll respect Io Interactive enough. :\

the ai and the hitman himself look very robotic, hope they address that problem.

I liked the last two games back on the PS2, I hope this one is just as good.

hitman is more like a secret spy game, rather than just run and gun.

Hitman 2 was the best one i thought. The stealth element was there but you could go all out guns a blazing on most of the levels. Which was still pretty fun, I'll have to check this out.

love that there's no 'hivemind' anymore. really a development a game like this needs. hope i can still poison cake ;)

Don't understand why there are so little stealth games these days. Stop making so many fps shooters!

I love how taking core gameplay and changing it in an attempt to sell more is often described in a positive way as "evolution". That's fine, yes it's a business, but I am not going to pretend it's commendable to simply trade on a name/brand. My biggest gripe is, it's not NECESSARY. Diablo 3 looks like it will be a perfect example of how you don't HAVE to "sell out".

The Hitman series has been one of my favorites for a long time. I own them all and I play them all the time. I'm not mad that IO is changing the gameplay; the formula has needed to evolve, and that's what they're attempting to do. Whether they're doing a good job at it remains to be seen, however. What I AM mad them for is changing 47 himself. There was no reason for it, and the changes that they're making don't seem to make any sense. Why does 47 sound like a 30 year old American actor now? David Bateson's voice and almost neutral accent were perfect for 47. At least give us an explanation for the change, IO.

All I care about in a Hitman game is freedom. Without it it's gonna suck. It's as simple as that.

Ive never played the hitman series, but this reminds me of siphon filter.

I really hope there's still loads of ways to complete levels. Sure all that looks awesome but I want to be able to navigate my way through a level with costumes and deception then have my target suffer a terrible 'accident' not just sneak-and-kill-everyone-on-the-way.

I'm so glad Square Enix gave Io Interactive the go ahead for a new Hitman game. It simply baffles me why they would waste the talents of this developer on the God-awful Kane & Lynch series when they have a pedigree consisting of such great titles from the last generation. Now give us Freedom Fighters 2.

@sochio Nope it's not open world...it's an action game with some rpg elements like customizing weapons and buying equipment...

is hitman a open world ?? , the game looks incredible

I play Hitman in 2 ways:Aggression 100 % and Stealth 100%....Problem with Aggression 100% way is that Hitman never had real gun FIGHTING and face on hand to hand fighting mechanics...They just upgraded the aggression part of the game in Absolution...Stealth is still here so dont worry...

What propels a gamer to a game is a good advertising campaign. With that said, I think their attention with graphics was too high. This is easily the best graphics I've seen in a while, and right now we didn't get much gameplay to see.

Its gonna be legen......wait for it.... and I hope you are not lactose intolerant because the next word is... Dairy....

Watch out 47 here I come!!!! ;)
