A fun little puzzle game, especially for free. But not as compelling as some classics like Bejewelled.

Hexic HD comes on hard drive equipped XBOX 360 consoles. And this is a fun little time-waster. You can't beat free games The high-definition graphics are nice, but almost wasted here. The game play is simple, yet requires a degree of mastery to achieve truly high scores. But for some reason, Hexic HD just didn't suck me in like other casual games have in the past. Games like Bejewelled or Jewel Quest hook me and I find myself playing for hours, or finding excuses to play for 10 minutes at a time. I don't have any of the same motivations with Hexic.

Don't expect to gain your 200 Gamerscore from this game easily. The achievements are tough, and you could play for hours without getting a single one. But since the game doesn't cost you a dime, does it really matter? Great for fun in short bursts, or if you are a real puzzle game freak, you could get sucked in for hours.
