Before i start i wish to mention i was a Dota player a few years ago, i liked it even do mostly i played via AI bots and just with friends in Lan. I first saw a trailer with this game 2 or 3 years ago and looked at first glance greet, in a month or so a friend sent me a Beta invite and i got the chance to enjoy the game.
There were less heroes back then compared to now, but most of them where back then, sure the game even now is a bit imbalanced, but thats where the crucial part comes in, Personal Strategy and Team Strategy, you and your team may win if they atleast have a Team Strategy, but if only you have it planed for yourself and everyone else is disorganized that's where it all falls apart.
Its a bit hard to explain the gameplay, basically its a 5 vs 5 or 3 vs 3 type Map and Match, before the game starts you are given lists of Heroes you can chose for yourself, most of them are verry different from each other, so the gameplay varies, each Hero has 4 Abilities, and like an RPG each time he levels up you can purchase the ability and or improve it. The types of Heroes are by Strength, Agility and Intelligence, or simply said warriors, rogues and mages. Some heroes are good at damage dealing, some are good for Crowd Control(Stuns and Immobilizes), some good for survival, tanking, survival and so on, and they can be mixed not pure Damage, Support, Tanking. It can be a bit hard for a true starter in this RPG genre, but this game is mostly learned fro trial and error, and learning from mistakes.
However one thing wich is major drawback is the Elitist community, some may be pro think they are greet but aren't, some are rely idiots, and some ca be a pain in teh butt. But of course there can be mixed of these characteristics, and thus its hard to avoid them , or rather meet a nice and good teammates.
The game itself is simple, the goal is to destroy enemy main base, to do so you must pass fro lines of defense towers, Heroes alone can't destroy them at first, thats why every minute a small group or AI controlled creatures march towards the enemy base an destroy enemy creatures coming from other side and destroy towers. Both towers, creatures and enemy heroes give gold and Experience points. With gold you will buy special items to empower your Hero, and experience to level up.
There's more to say but i just wanted to note that even if yeh the game was mainly just a clone to Dota, it still brought some good additions to interface, gameplay and graphics. The game is F2P so if anyone is interested give it a try, do still a warning, the Community can be bad, this game requires lots of guts and patience to learn and master.
