Just wondering, since it doesn't seem like it'd take much to turn the AI into a more competent player. The main problem is that they split their army up into random chunks. Like you'll run into 3-4 heroes with large stacks of various creatures which are easy to take down separately, but would make a formidable opponent as one or two armies. I'd also guess that the AI still designates one hero as the "main hero" since one of these armies is generally a bit beefier than the rest. So adjusting the function which gives troops to secondary heroes to allocate far more troops would leave the main hero with a better army. I mean, they still won't use chains to transport troops or anything, but with the default AI, on anything larger than Small maps you can just roll around with your uber army since the AI starts splitting its own troops up.
