Platforming at it's best!

User Rating: 8.5 | Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure DS
No matter if you're a fan of platformers or just a casual gamer you will love this unique blend of noggin' using and quick machete slashing fun!

You play as a stereotypical Englishman by the name of Henry Hatsworth who is renowned for his gentlemanly mannerisms and his tee drinking abilities within a gentleman's club. One day, one of his young protégés tells him of a magical suit that gives any man who wears it the power to conquer the world! Being the devilishly handsome explorer that Mr. Hatsworth is, he embarks on the dangerous mission to find all of the pieces of this attire and use its power for good. Unfortunately a fellow club member (who happens to be dangerously jealous of Henry) is also in search for the pieces and will do everything from hiring a murderous widower to crushing Henry with his mechanical ingenuity in order to get the suit for himself. The race is on!

During your adventure you will be in control of two worlds. The top screen plays as a great fast paced platformer while the bottom screen is a simple match-the-block-puzzle. The puzzle will fill your super meter and grant you the ability to use more powerful attacks on your foes; the puzzle will also attack the enemies themselves by using special items within the puzzle such as a lighting strike and a time freeze where all of the enemies stand still. I would be spoiling the story if I told you why the "puzzle realm" is there in the first place but let's just say it's also your job to close this realm. Using these two unique blends of gameplay in the same cartridge Henry Hatsworth is a fast passed adrenalin pumping ride. Not only will this game leave you begging for more it will also give you an immense feeling of accomplishment none the less.

Like any game it does have its downside but luckily it can also be viewed in a positive light. Once you hit half way through the game the difficulty curves noticeably and inexperience players may have a harder time completing the levels. However this can be forgiven because every level feels like an accomplishment right through to the end.

In conclusion this game is unfortunately one of the underrated games of 2009. It disserves much more praise for its quirky humour to its charming story and its fast passed gamplay. Add this to your list of DS games and I promise you it won't be a disappointment.
