This is a movie- I mean game that truly keeps you interested from start to finish!

User Rating: 8.5 | Heavy Rain PS3
*UPDATED*

I completely deleted my old review, as it made no sense. After watching my cousin beat the game when it first came out, I finally gave it a try a couple of months ago, and I was impressed. Here is my review.

In the story you start out as Ethan Mars, a father who works from home as an architect. It his son Jason's birthday and while out at a mall, Jason get's lost and gets hit by a car.
Madison is a girl who suffers from sleep deprivation, happens to get away at a motel and ends up meeting Ethan eventually.
Scott Shelby is a retired police officer looking for as much evidence that he can get his hands on of the Origami Killer.
Norman Jayden is an FBI profiler and is trying to solve the case of the origami killer.
Eventually, Ethan starts experiencing black outs, and due to this, his son gets kidnapped by the Origami Killer who leaves young children under something like a vent whenever heavy rain comes along so they can drown. It really is a fantastic story, and it will shock you at every chance it gets, and there is also over 20 different endings which make it worth playing again and again.

This section is hard to describe, but basically it's more like a movie with actions you have to perform to decide the outcome of something a character does with timed button presses. When your character gets stressed, he or she will start shaking, which makes the timed button presses a lot more difficult. It's barely what you'd consider a normal game, but it still can be fun and it's mainly the story that captures you.

Back in 2010, these were some fantastic graphics. Not as much as they were then today, but it still looks great. Environments and characters look real, and act like real people. In the loading screens, there are close ups of the characters and it still looks phenomenal. Great looking game for it's time!

Really hard to rate the soundtrack when there's barely much to choose from. Same goes for the lifetime.

The replay value can be high to some, and low to others. You have the option of playing and getting the worst endings, the medium endings, and the best endings, and it all depends on what you decide. Takes around 10-12 hours to beat it.

Overall, this is a great thriller-based game that will keep you interested and coming back for more. Anyone who is interested in games with deep stories, and own a PS3, this is a must buy!
