Check out more gameplay footage from Hearts of Iron III--this time taking a look at Japan.
.... Didnt Japan own like half of china in them days? lol or had a puppet installed anyway (the Manchurian government)
I guess this is the type of game that you have to actually pick up and go through a pain-staking tutorial, which you won't understand or complete because you realize you just made a terrible investment.
Is there any actual gameplay?
This game has a turned based mode only if it had a battle map it will be cool

I think this is for those who still have Pentium II cpus and Matrox GPUs 16 mb and 1.4" floppy drives. Definitely not for me.
I never understand how to play this kind of game
I'm seening bla bla bla, but where is the gamplay??
i find this game real boring, i mean come on, playing chess is more fun then this one. Panzer game back there i think it can shake this game even today
Yike!!
WHY HAVE AN AD FOR TOASTER STRUDEL!!!!!!????? o coz having a japanese ww2 strat and eating strudels in the freaking morning is the same.. ffs
see if ETW had the diplomatic, economic and technologic depth of the paradox guys id play it 24/7
lebman: dont worry sprites are still there (and i think they look well enough, but i think most of my fellow hoi fanboys will agree that graphics isnt the most important thing bout this game:-). As ive heard game doesnt last until 65, but hoi ii had mods which did that, so will hoi iii. And i dont know how you could have any more nations to play with as you can play with ANY nation on earth, even Luxembourg.
They shouldn't of got rid of animated soldiers or units I relied on that to actually know what kind of unit I'm dealing with and its visually pleasing and it keeps you awake, excited. If they are still there I hope they improved on them. The map looks a lil better but still not completely accurate or visually pleasing as what we would of hoped. I heard a few say for the game to actually last, if there was an option to play from 1933-1965 I'd be overjoyed! and more nations to choose from too... I'm buying this game though but if it lacks in those areas above I'll be disapointed for life.
@Stromprophet: HoI3, just like all previous games, offers the player the choice between sprites (3d units) and counters (the icons). It's a matter of user preference.
HOI 2 was great, I hope they make HOI 3 longer like 1933 until 1965. :-)
What r the red and green lines in the ocean? Are they shipping routes? Will we b able to have CAG's fly from land if CV dead? Ive pre-ordered it already.
WTF is up with the stack unit Icons? Are we going back to the 1990s?? I don't get that. They keep showing it in all the videos. Units should be represented by Animated Icons, we don't have all this computing power today for nothing. I'm liking the new interface, but the map is still pretty bad. I don't like "Making History" but "Making History II" has a way better map and 3D units.
looks like an IMMENSE improvement from the HoI2 HUD. Looking forward to this game!
Looks like a hard nut to crack.
Not my cup of tea i think
Awesome, I loved HoI2, can't wait for this release.
This game is gonna kick ass. Weeeeeeeee

Hearts of Iron is a worthwhile, but the actions of a player who is streaming through sheets and charts do not make for good videos.
great
if this ends up cooler than eu3, it's going going to be hard to find a numerical score to give it justice
I am touching myself in anticipation :)
The world map looks so much more detailed than HoI2
I want this game!!
Not much gameplay in that. I want to see actual battles, and how they're played out compared to HoI2.
I canīt wait to get my hands on a copy of this game.
