Check out this gameplay from Hearts of Iron III.
I want to know: In total war series you can go down to world and look fight from the ground, but in this game, it will be so?
lol guys, you're looking at gameplay. That's what this game is, it's a grand strategy game. Think the Total War series, multiply the complexity and depth by 1,000, remove the tactical battles, and change it from turn based to pausable real-time. Then you'll have a pretty good idea of what you're in for. It kicks ass, in case you're wondering.
Can't wait. HOI2 is very challenging. So much so that I sometimes even resort to a cheat or two (just for resources though!). Can't wait for this one. I never thought I would enjoy micromanaging a war and a war economy!
i just discovered this game and see that everyone says really good things about it. but honestly, i downloaded the demo for hoi 2 and this game is hard as hell. i'm used to the total war and age of empire series :P still.... i think i'll buy it
This is the most anticipated game of the year for me. The depth and possibilities of this game are simply amazing. Paradox really makes the best strategy games.
heh, this game looked bland at FIRST But give it a chance and you'll find endless hours of fun behind it! It's strategy at its best and if you're the megalomaniac sort who wants to conquer the world or wonders if world war 2 could have turned out different, this is your chance literally replay history on a grand scale ^^
Being able to customize your ships will add a great strategic element, especially playing smaller nations, or if you have resource problems. I don't like the graphics (HoI2 is more aestheticly pleasing imho), but this could ceartinly make up for it!
lmao...guys, that is the gameplay...you've never played a "real" strategy game before?
hey guys, this is a strategy game, not your average RTS, stuff doesnt blow up the same. If you have played any other paradox games you would understand... think in depth realtime civ 4 with a focus on combat and you are getting close...
scrollfest... clickfest... c'orn let's blow some sh*t up already!
This is gonna be so great! The smaller province size is really going to change the game. It used to be easy to steamroll on a four or five province front, now you're going to have to be much more careful in how you plan your forces deployment. And looks like you can customize your units far more than just the attachments in HOI2. As long as they don't change anything that made the prior versions awesome, this will rock. Its not going to be for everyone, learning curve for a newbie will probably be just as daunting as the prior versions, but I'm excited!
i'm with "herodotus2006" on this, we need to se a little more gameplay, it looks good, like the high resolution and all that but show us some more gameplay. please
I like!
Okay, so we have good idea of the map-scrolling and pushing of a few buttons, but I'd like to see a lot more of the gameplay before I decide any further on this. Too many new releases have disappointed strategy fans, so show us more guys.
Looks great! Keep it up paradox!
