It's too bad these guys won't stop talking long enough to actually hear some of the JPOP in this game.
I've been playing this for a while, and it's a nice game, but I don't think it's worth the money that you have to pay to import it, though.

I bought Project Diva F for psvita in tokyo last november, it was quite a hit there. The game is manic and really difficult! (and I'm quite a pro in rhythm games)

I've known about Hatsune Miku for years now but I never knew there were games...this makes all other rhythmic games look tame...Although from what I'm seeing it does a pretty bad job of matching the rhythm and the notes :P
Vocaloids and Hatsune Miku are an extremely interesting phenomena, especially the way it really took off. Vocaloids work partly because of the structure of spoken Japanese requiring a relatively limited syllabary as compared to English for example. So even the first-gen of Vocaloids weren't entirely bad where as it's much harder to synthesise passable singing in English. Branding has made it so even the oddities produced in the synthesised singing aren't a negative, it's just part of how it sounds.
Whether they know it a not a lot more people have been exposed to vocaloid derived memes than they realise, for example Nyan cat lifted a vocaloid song.

they actually played black rock shooter in the end. hmm another point to saving up for a vita as i don't have a ps3
I've only played the demo of this but simply being able to play it is one of the reasons I love the PS3 - no region restrictions. No need to import an entirely new console to play overseas games.

@josephl64 Same for me, might buy ps3 version later depending if they release new songs. Played over 100h on vita ^^
5 Like Unless I'm mistaken, Vocaloid (in particular, Hatsune Miku herself) has been popular for around a decade.
