For whatever odd reason, I'll actually review this game.
Hatred, as a game, is a pretty silly concept. Media hates on game, game gets high levels of publicity, gamers who normally wouldn't play this game play it.
As many would suspect, it's rather underwhelming. The premise is 'nasty', but it's so arcade-y that it's hard to take seriously (in terms of being extremely violent/serious), as opposed to that one level in COD in the airport. As a game, it's not very good. It basically equates to one of those arcade shooters you would play at a pizza parlor for 50 cents or something.
With that said, and I'm going to be veeeeeeeeery careful when I say this, it isn't...terrible either. The shooting isn't as nauseating (I'm talking control wise, not content-wise) as some say. It does get a few mechanics right here and there, and it does have its moments.
But yes, the premise of the game is borderline psychotic and it's really nothing special (other than being 'edgy'). You have to be very 'open-minded' to even try this, and even more so to not get sick in the first 5 minutes.
