Like the other 'Family Game Night' releases, if you like the original 'Sorry' game, you will probably like this.

If you are reading this, then you have probably played the board game version of 'Sorry'. Obviously this video game version is pretty much the same game you get if you would buy the actual board game. But the nice thing with these 'Family Game Night' releases on Xbox Live Arcade is that they come with new gameplay modes.

The new addition here is a very fun variation on the regular game. In this mode you get several new bonus cards that let you do all sorts of new tricks. One lets you steal another player's card. Another lets you move the whole length of one side of the board, knocking out anyone's pawns in your path. A real game-changer is a card that sends everyone's pawns that are closest to the safe zones back to home. When I first heard of this mode, I wasn't too excited about it. But the new cards add a great deal of depth and strategy to the game. Figuring out how to use the several new cards is really fun and I found myself playing this mode more than the original.

Another nice addition is the ability to play this online with people over Xbox Live. It's a lot of fun, but for some reason EA dropped the ball here. If one person in the game quits out early (which happens a lot), then the whole game ends and no one gets credit for a win. It's extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed with a patch.

Other than that, the game is really fun. Like I said in the opening, it really comes down if you liked the actual board game and can afford to shell out the $10 it takes to download it. The new bonus card mode is a blast and I would recommend this to anyone looking to have some fun with roomates, friends, or family.
