now, if you know me, then you understand i'm a big freaking fan of harvest moon. like most games, many people did not believe that harvest moon wouldn't make the jump to the wii (i don't think it did well from GBA to DS xD). but it did.
you start out going to an island where a series of unfortunate events happen. you pass out on a boat, and end up in a hotel where you start meeting people. this beginning is much different from other HM games. you live for the first 3 days in a farm owned by other people. NOT YOU. this has been the most innovative way in HM to give you a tutorial. the story is simple: the harvest goddess tree is dying. the enviroment is failing because of it. and you need to fix it. harvest sprites will be hidden around on fairly big trees, requiring items for you to find and give them to power the trees, and the harvest goddess altogether.
a "improvment" in the game allowed you to get more domestic animals then ever. ducks, worms, and a bucket load of pets, from monkeys to bears, and even 3 different types of dogs and cats.
if you played magical melody, then you should be more than comfortable with the marrige options you have. same number as that game.
to sum it all up, tree of tranquility did not dissapoint. in fact, it is one of the better games in the series. it can't beat a wonderful life, but it was up there, no doubt about it. :)
