Another sport port just shy of being perfect.

Positives: Winning Eleven 9 is a very solid port with most of the soccer goodness all there. Theres regular old exhibition, training, season. Gamespot is right when they say, "No two goals are the same." There are dozens of teams. It's very realistic, the computers are just the right difficulties, and the graphics are pretty darn good. In fact, my step-dad saw it from about 10 feet away over my shoulder and asked if I was watching a REAL soccer game.
Negatives: These are the couple nit-picks that keep it away from excellence. While you can do season mode there is no master league mode. Loading times before the game are a little long, but nothing as bad as some of its sport counterparts (i.e. Tiger Woods PGA Tour). And there is a flaw in the A.I. where if your ahead you can just stand still and they won't even go after the ball you can just let time go out 'til you win. While that is no fun, obviously, the A.I. should easily pick up on that and go after that soccer ball.
While it is just a port, its a port of a very fun game and this title should not be overlooked by any soccer fans. There are flaws strewed about, but hey, every game has flaws right! Now stop reading and go to your local game shop to pick it up.
