Harvest Moon Ds is the best Harvest Moon game i ever played. But that might be because it's only the 2nd HM game i played, and the first one i played a few years ago. But it's still avery good game.
If you want to spy on the digital people for some reason, you can use the map to look any where you want in Forget-Me-Not valley. You can raise animals, plant crops, trees, and go in the mines.
The mines are one of the few things wrong with this game. You can go in there and battle monsters and find gems and jewelry and stuff, but the 2nd mine forward is REALLY hard to get past. Finding jewelry is easy, you just start digging as soon as you walk in. The first mine has ores except it doesn't have mythic ores or cursed tools. The third mine has those. The first mine has 10 floors, but the 2nd has 255. I don't know how much the other 2 have.
Crops are easy. you just water them. For trees you water them until they turn into a tiny tree, then they grow on their own (except in winter). some crops like turnips you can only use once the you have to plant seeds again. some like corn if you take it of the plant stays there and you just have to wait until it re grows them. You can get special crop seeds from the harvest sprites. These special crops include pineapples, bell peppers, and cabbage.
The animals all you have to do is feed them, brush them, pet them, if it's a cow milk them, if it's a chicken or duck collect there eggs, if there a sheep and they have some wool then sheer it, and feed them. If you want to you can use the touch screen for all these activities except feeding them and egg collecting. for milk if you use the touch screen equip the gloves and milker then move the stylus up and down on the udder. If it's a sheep equip the gloves and the shears the when you start just move the shears to where ever they have wool.
There are 101 harvest sprites you can collect. to beat the game you only need 60. Because at the beginning all the harvest sprites and harvest goddess get sent to another world and you need to save 60 to bring her back. You also need 60 harvest sprites if you want to get married.

A fairly fun and addictive game until the glitches go and mess it up!

A new Friends of Mineral Town, with a real disconnected feel to it..

Well, I guess it was all right. It had its moments, certainly. But still, there was something missing...

- The main character from the Harvest Moon series tells us about the (allegedly) humongous fish he caught. This was fun. From 2004... wow, that seems like a long time ago!Posted Jun 23, 2007
