back to traditional harvest moon, farming, dating, ranching etc an upgrade but rework of tree of tranquility
enter a town, start a farm, meet a wife (or husband) start a family and live a farmers life. 4 character models (2 male, 2 female)
graphics follow an eye friendly cartoon style setup with simple colours and simple details, its not bad quality its more eye friendly quality.Works very well for the easy going style of the game.
sounds are delicate and worked into the theme of each zone,season and location. Some of it is re-used in several locations but there is enough variaty to keep this un noticed.
controls work well, there are no motion controls here so its up to debate wether you consider it better or not. classic controller would work the same as the wii remote.
harvest moon has been knowen for yearly events on the game calender, this has been reduced slightly from previous titles but there are several activities in a number of these events. low in quantity but higher quality.
theres always something to do be it planting, dating, fishing, mining etc, as you progress the main story (yes there is one this time) more becomes open and theres more to do.
however the story is not important really, you can ignore it if you so wish and just farm to your hearts content. just remember you will be restricting yourself abit.
loading times between locations remains which is one of few minor irritations but can be lived with. there are few bugs to contend with though the camera can become a bit of a pain with the way it pans around alot during movement.
if you have tree of tranquility then you will know most of this already as its more of an update to that, same characters, same style but by no means ignore this title, the minor changes and upgrades make this a decent game in its own right even if you have tree of tranquility.

farming simulator where the formula hasent changed over the years and remains great because of it.
i recommend this to anyone who likes harvest moon, anyone debating getting this or tree of tranquility, id suggest this one.
if you have tree of tranquility then its up to debate, basically the same but improved.
