I love this series! Where to begin with all the reasons why...
It has it all...
Farming, money, friendships, treasure, mystery... Romance... did I mention money? I like games where I can make money. Shopping is good.
There is a lot to love about a game like this. It's a game with options. If you don't want to plant crops, no problem, raise animals. Don't want to deal with farm life, dig in the mines. Need more of a relaxed way of living, fish. The choice is yours.
You can upgrade your house or keep it a simple little dwelling. Looking for love? There's a girl out there for you. It's all about the options.
There is a few different Harvest Moons out on the market at this time. This is the one I would recommend for first time players with the series. Time simply slips away while your playing.
Another bonus with this game is how VERY family friendly it is. Let all the kids at this one. It's got cute all over it. Adults will be challenged by it and kids will be immersed in it. No buyers remorse here.
Would I change anything?
Yeah, a few things. I would like more shopping, more interior decorating for the house, more people to interact with and maybe a second village to visit. Also, for the local village to be a bit bigger. Add a couple more cut scenes and the clock that controls the time to run just a little slower. There is always room for improvement. I will say on this game they have got a great base to work with.
