You're ten times more likely to be addicted to this game than any drug

Do you think I'm kidding? You may be put off by the fact that the point of the game is to farm and raise a family, but when you think about it that means waking up, feeding the animals, watering your crops, harvesting crops, milking your cows, collecting eggs, wooing one of three potential wives, making friends, fishing, and digging for archaeological artifacts. And since every minute goes by rather as a second, you have to fit this into (let's see, deduct 8 hours for sleeping) 16 HOURS! And since you can never really accomplish so much in a day it keeps the intrigue of coming back in the morning and trying again. This game can get annoyingly addictive and soon you will be going onto wikipedia to see if you can actually get a lizard, raccoon, turtle, or chihuahua. There are lacking points to this game. For one, there is little excitement. This is what you realize after your addiction phase is over. And while there are cut-scenes that add a funny new segment to the game, they become repetitive in replays. In fact, the only major replay values of this game are to marry a different girl or steer your child's career choice in a different direction. You can easily lose yourself in this game for hours and then beat yourself up afterwards for wasting another day of your life. Yet there are many redeeming qualities. There are fun minigames that you can play, such as Galen's grave-washing game or the pyrotechnics' Chinese checkers game. Also there are certain events that require your immediate attention, such as a sick animal. So it is a good, addictive game. What more could you ask for?
