Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an abysmally glitchy game.

Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone plays through the events of the first Harry Potter book, supposedly. Between the glitches, the slowness, and just downright boringness of this game, you barely even notice the fact that the story of being battered as you play through it. The game, however, does have a nostalgic sort of fun while playing, for a short amount of time.

Bad news first. The game is hard. The game shouldn't be hard, the puzzles seem to be designed for 6 year olds, the game just glitches you dead and you have to do the entire thing all over again.

Harry Potter decided to take a length over sustenance stance when it comes to puzzles, which becomes very apparent early into the game. You'll be pushing blocks, hitting various kinds of switches, and waiting for platforms to finally get to you, just so you can try to walk onto it and literally fall through it. That wouldn't be so bad if there were any forms of checkpoints in areas.

Most puzzles require you to find six of something, which is just tedious when your looking for that sixth something, fall through a very solid piece of floor, then get to start over from the beginning.

Spells are pretty weak as well. As you get more spells ( around 6), you get the privilege of scrolling through them with the right shoulder button. It's annoying to scroll through the spells one way, as you will have to do it alot.

the sound effects are terrible. I spent a vast majority of the game with them off, my ears couldn't afford to lose any more blood.

Good news time. The game's NPC's say pretty silly things, not that talking to them is relevant to the plot at all, and will usually not get you anywhere.

Harry Potter also manages to retain some form of fun, which is hard to describe, as everything about the game is garbage. I could never recommend this game to anyone out on the streets.
