First of all, I played both, Cooking Mama AND Happy Cooking. And to be honest, I liked both.

Happy Cooking isn't the first in the Series. But compared to Mama it has a Story Mode to complete to unlock Receipes and Minigames.

Also, instead of only cooking one Dish, you are supposed to prepare 3 at the same Time. And you get help by this great Chef. Together you're preparing for the Cooking Competition and he teaches you, Lisa, how to cook.

It's actually almost the same as Mama, with the Difference that most of the things is already prepared by the Chef and that you only do the little Things. Like cutting now and then, or mixing something...

A Bonus I noticed, you can change the Kitchen Design. Well, at least the Color of the Pan or the Pot or the Knife...your Glove...or the Soap next to the Sink.

Fazit:

+ nice Design
+ cute Characters
+ some Dishes are new
+ Minigames
+ Story Mode and Freestyle

- not the first one in the Series
- you hardly cook, since the Chef prepares most of it
- too many Dialoges
- Chef explains things over and over again, even though you'd know it by now

As usual: If you're not sure, weather to buy it or not, rent it first, or borrow it from somebody who has it already.
