For a fan made game, it's quite impressive, and it might be able to quench your Halo thirst for a few hours.

When I first saw this, I thought, "Jesus Christ, it's another one of those lame, boring fan-made Halo games." I was proven wrong. In most respects, this is quite a good game, though it can't really compare to the real series. It's graphics stay true to the Halo models, but give thm a more cartoony feeling. The gameplay, instead of being a FPS, is a platformer shooter. At first, it's quite fun, but quickly gets repetitive. The game allows you to do much of the stuff in Halo: Combat Evolved, but there is next to no Halo 2 content. You can drive a Warthog (though it's rather unsatisfying, as you can't run over people and your jumps don't have that cool, laws-of-gravity defying feeling), fight with Marines (they die in about 3 hits, which sticks to the actual Halo: Combat Evolved game), and use rocket launchers and assorted amount of Halo: Combat Evolved weapons. The sound is incredible for a fan made game, as they sound exactly as the real ones do. They did a great job of recording sounds. It's also free, which is one of the definitely ups. This game's story takes place before Halo: Combat Evolved on the planet Reach. The story is rather weak, and the campaign is rather short. The multiplayer is mildy amusing, but you won't play it for a long time. All in all, for a fan made game, this is quite impressive. It sticks to the feel and look of Halo, and it faithfully recreates most of the scenes, weapons, and other stuff of Halo. It is free, which is awesome. This game can definitely keep you occupied for a few hours. The gameplay is a bit repetitive, but fun. If you are a Halo fan, definitely take a look at this game, as it is is well-made, and recreates the Halo world well.
