A nice free addition to Halo. Free avatar stuff is always nice, cause I hate paying for the cool stuff!! :P Halo Legends isn't too bad either, I suggest giving it a go. I expected it to suck, but it really adds more than I expected it to to the Halo universe. Try it!
if you like evil stuff watch the video of naughty bear i love that video you watch both of them the 1st video of it is cute and cuddly but the 2nd will make you sleep inside the blanket lol
i would punch my own mother in front of a police station if they had this for gears of war
halo anime? I never thought it would ever go there.....
@Omaciel It's free. The only payment needed is for Xbox LIVE Gold, which is about $40 a year if you can find it from the right place.
Very nice. This is a great frontend tool for Halo fans - they're lucky to have this kind of tool. 'Course, what would be even better is if they let you run Halo games straight from Waypoint if you own a copy and the right disc is in.
Nice little front-end. I like it!!!
This intruiges me.
cant wait!!!!!
I had forgotten that Halo Wars even existed...
I wish they could have this awesome stuff for PSN. :(
All halo games rock! except halo wars....
Its for halo fans if your not interested dont post a comment, its as easy as that. Great idea!
Its free, worth the 140 mb
Great for people that are deep into Halo
im with you
WAT A WASTE OF MONEY
looks interesting
This should be awesome.
looks gud but my halo wars broke ahhah but i still got halo 3
thats freaking brilliant love it
This is a pretty great idea, thats free. Job well done, but PLEASE add some matchmaking on odst Firefight! that game would be so much better with it!
good
dont let my name fool you, i only had a PS3 first. I have both consoles now. what ive come to realize is that they both have positive and negative things and for the most part, they balance out. The PS3 has had price-cuts before this, so check your sources. While i agree that Halo is an amazing franchise, the PS3 has some of its own great games too. they both have exciting games coming out (ie Splinter Cell:Conviction, God of War 3) and i think, play all games equally well, though i prefer FPS on 360 due to analog stick positions, and fighters on PS3 due to the better D-Pad. As for this waypoint thing, I'm not too excited. Halo videos & stuff i watch on websites like this, and i never bought halo wars because i dont think RTS's belong in this series.
gotta love the ps3, only just got a price cut after so many years, the useless home, the fact the controller is nowhere near as good for first person shooters as the xbox 360 controller. If you don't like halo, which is fast becoming one of the biggest brands in the world, stay off here and keep your comments to yourself.
halo is garbage ps3 rules halo is so old!!! Omg aliens r takin over!!!! thats so creative eh?
I think this looks great. Why would you hate free add on content? If you aren't a halo fan, and don't play halo, then why do you care? I realize stat tracking isn't for everyone. Myself, I don't care much about rank or experience simply because a good rank can be achieved simply by putting in plenty of hours. I really like the idea of linking achievements and other experiences across the entire franchise.
halo waypoint, thanks, but no thanks
@DJ_Magneto Nah, I never saw hate in your eyes. You offer good insights and you're right - bungie.net does the same thing. All the good ones such as Bungie, Treyarch and Infinity ward add more content for free that provides value. Value that was never asked for. Recordable video replays and service records are another example. The haters? Well they.. for some.. reason.. um.. well -- they just hate free added content. Illogical as it may seem. Perhaps they spent not enough time on the boob?
I have a feeling this is only the first game to have it's own page of this kind on xbl. I figure COD, Gears and other big multi-p games will be next especially forza and gears etc that are ms games. Basically any game with stat tracking on the dev. website could do this pretty fast. How many will do it depends on what ms is going to charge them for the real estate. As for cost to us, I'm sure it will be free. If they were going to charge they would let anyone buy it, not just gold members.
That actually looks pretty cool.
looks interesting
@PixelAddict Bungie.net has all of that info too. Everything you mentioned. Level progression, kills, kills by gun, accuracy, heat maps that track all the locations of your kills and deaths on every map. I know this is nothing new. The Waypoint channel is just another outlet for this type of info in addition to other achievments directly on the console. And FYI, I'm no hater. I have COD too.
@DJ_Magneto Call of Duty already has that tracking feature (overall level progression, kills, kills by gun, accuracy, etc etc) which also has information/content. Tracks by specific map and shows where your kills were on each and every map (and therefore it is every game). So... any haters just realize this is not a new thing. Go to www.callofduty.com and see for yourself. This is a good thing (for those who care).
I can't see how there would be a cost associated with this... there is a mention it will be "available" after the November patch, but no mention of cost. It would be in their best interest to have it free. The more motivated a gamer is to achieve, the more replay, the more likely to buy add'l DLC or the next game. So if it's free, then maybe it is worth your money.
not worth my money.
if this is free then i say it's an awesome addition.
looks good
Looking good! Hopefully its worthwhile, even though it won't cost anything. @DJ Magneto Very well said.
this better be free, if not its pointless.
smells good
Ummm, what the f*** is this s***???
How do you access this on Live? Btw, Can someone please tell me how to browse other people's uploaded Forge/Videos/Screenshot stuff?
yawn!
@DJ_Magneto Very well said. And I think this is a very good idea. I honestly bet there are a ton of Halo fans that will love this including me. And about people liking one with all of the Call of Duty games? Well I would be on the top of that list in the love section. So pretty much...
or some cheats for old people
too slow for multiplayer, just single action
Great ^^
Awesome!
Im seeing the "Is there a point to it?" question popping up quite a bit already. The Intel section seems to have a lot of content in it. As for the Career section: Id say how much it matters to players will vary greatly depending on how much stock they put into achievments. Looks like if you dont care about achievements overly much, career section will be a wash.
