Get a quick glimpse at some of the multiplayer action in Halo: Reach! Bungie announced the multiplayer beta for May 3, 2010, and the invites were included with Halo: ODST!
seems to be as boring as the first ones... i played halo 1 through, tried halo 2 and never played it again after 2 hours... i've been playing almost every major shooter since doom 1 on my old 486 when i was 9 years old (the good ones and a lot of bad ones) and halo is one of the most boring series out there... even doom 3 was more entertaining even though it was verrryyyy disappointing... revolutionary gameplay???? halo is more of a UT mod with a single player campaign, vehicle combat in shooters is old news... i wouldn't be surprised if halo reach had dark match so every halo fanboy here can say that its got so many fresh ideas LOL and i'm no fanboy of any kind, if a game is good i like it and i play it (didn't have time yet to try mw2 online either)... if you are looking for a good console online shooter play metal gear online, that has at least a few fresh ideas...
@7h3_h4x3r Dude, Halo actually does require skill, and I rarely come across kids. MW2 is full of screaming kids, hackers, and campers, and requires no skill at all. @gloves64 Well said, buddy
dude, medellon, why do you go out of your way to trash talk halo? if you don't like it then don't play it, simple as that.
This game looks awesome... i'm confused on how you get the BETA though, which part of ODST allows you to get it? I know it hasn't come out yet, I'm just confused
see this game is going to be like odst. people said it was going to be good but lets face it. IT SUCKED BIG TIME. so im not expecting anything fantastic from bungie and i probably wont buy this game unless it's gonna be used for wiping my ass
the graphics don't look too special. it looks like unreal engine 3. (and even that engine is starting to show its age)
To those who think Halo involves no skill...your wrong. It takes plenty of skill to compete in the ranked matches, the better you get the harder it gets. Every game contributes to their genre, each has their weakness and their strengths. So quit get getting all cranky that Halo sucks.
@NewWorldOrphan6. Probably what they've done is that the Spartans are using their jetpacks usually used in space on land. That's the only thing I can think of from the books. Looks like an interesting game, a squad of Spartans. Hopefully some references to the others, they did train together afterall.

this game will be sick. the only thing that i find weird is that its kinda backwards. i mean, if this is before Halo CE then how come all the technology in the game is greater? for example Master chief didnt have jet packs and grenade launchers and the covenant deffinitely didnt have needler carbine like weapons. i just hope people dont abuse the jet packs or any new feature that isnt necessary to abuse.
Sorry you guys are talking about Halo and COD, I'm gonna comment on the game that revolutionized FPS. The game that made FPS so popular was in fact Halo: CE but the game to really start the genre was Half Life. I'm not a Morgan Freeman fan at all but Half Life was better than Halo: CE. Valve hasn't made any more Half Life games to compete against the Halo Franchise so Halo has taken the cake and became more popular all around. Now to get to the topic at hand. I do find it funny that a game made in 2007 is competing with a game thats prime in 2010. So think of COD4 when comparing Halo & COD franchises. I think when Reach is released (or Beta release) than the flame wars begin. It only makes sense to compare games that have releases that are hardly close to each other. I do think that Bungie is ahead of it's time and only hope that they will come up with a new franchise to beat Halo.
I certainly don't believe that Halo revolutionized FPS at all. I'm not sure how Halo 1, or 2 ever became popular as they are pretty bland. (No I don't own a PS3, yes I do own an xbox 360 and halo 2 +3 + ODST) Having said that, this entry looks pretty good.
everybody, calm down. When halo reach comes out we'll see if its a piece of shi* or if it is the greatest game ever. But dont insult a game that hasn't come out yet. Face it, halo ce DID revolutionize fps. If you dont agree with that, then you are misinformed. I bet anyone who has dissed halo has never played it. Plus cod is full of 12 year old kids who camp all the time, and so is halo. No matter what game you will have some n00bish kids
@7h3_h4x3r You say Halo takes no skill? LOLZ i bet you dont even have a 360 or ever seen halo gameplay ha
This is gonna be great, i really like the new weps and they look like they've taken amrour customising down to the very deatail not just body, shoulder head like halo 3 so when you are playing the multiplayer it doesn't look like oyur fighting a tonne of clones.
@ 7h3_h4x3r also there are no npcs, you obviously don't know wtf you're talking about and are not 25 or you would probably have been around long enough to know what they are. You might be referring to the character models, but NPCs are non-player-characters. AKA they're bots, or ai. Most commonly they're refferred to as NPCs in rpg's. You're either not 25, or very new to playing video games.
@ 7h3_h4x3r The only things little kids do on halo 3 is custom games, if you go into actual matchmaking there are next to no kids, secondly cod requires no skill, there are several sure methods to get a 2 kd ratio or higher easily unless you suck balls method #1 snipe, if you don't have an amazing kd ratio sniping then you are utterly horrible at everything and stop playin fps all together. method #2 noob toob-one man army nuff said method #3 use the acr with stopping power, I personally don't use this gun off of principle because i played a match where i went 82 and 12 with it. fact to support my claim: the most competitive played games are starcraft, halo 3, and counterstrike, it's because there is more skill and balancing required. While unreal tournament did do a lot for fps genre halo did equally as much if not more. so I'm going to close this with stfu gtfo noob lololol.
Put a thumbs up if you like halo and you think this is gonna be insane and thumbs down if you think its gonna be balls, my opinion...GREAT!
@7h3_h4x3r your over 25 years old? wow..... and call of duty requires skill? first of all if your saying halo is played by little kids then your dead wrong look at cod. Ok now at the cod requires skill part, dude cod requires almost no skill what so ever. The community is a bunch of 12 year old's whining and camping AND using all those cheap guns cod has to offer. Halo did revolutionize the fps genre because halo gave us a button for melee instead of having to cycle through weapons to get to your fist It also removed the cycling through weapons thing I just mentioned, It made sticky grenades waaaay more popular (if they even already existed). It gave people a reason to buy an Xbox, which then gave Microsoft a reason to make a 360. (i dont care if your a ps3 fanboy) It pretty much revolutionized vehicle use in FPS games. Name me another game that came before it that had vehicles that were as easy to control. I'm pretty sure no game before it had AI that was as good. And there actually were no NPC's i don't know what your talking about. NPC means "Non Player Character" and the title of this vid says multiplayer madness not singleplayer -.-
@Osiris1112 Here we go again with another halo fanboy who cries for their precious game lmao...im over 25 years old thank you and MW2 and other shooting games require skill than your stupid halo...go cry to mommy.
@7h3 h4x3r I am gathering by your immature comment and your name that you are in fact a "kid" yourself. And if not I feel sorry for whoever taught you in school. Seriously, camels lamas? What are you like 5? If you ever actually played Halo online and then played games like Call of Duty you would realize that more kids play the other games. When playing Halo I am lucky if I get random screaming and "your a fa*got" once every 20 games. Call of Duty I get at least 3 of them people every match.
@VidYoGame Don't cry cuz i dissed ur little game...this game is mostly played by kids...and if you dont know ur own damn game lmao..there is NPCs unless u dont know what NPC is...and no im not a MW2 fanboy, and NO, halo did not revolutionize FPS genre lolol...
@7h3_h4x3r um....what r you talking about? there were no NPCs. Haha this series isn't garbage man it still one of the most played multiplayer games today and it's about a 4 year old game. Just in case you didn't know halo 1 revolutionized FPSs so you can shut the f*ck up about that. It's just a guess but i'm thinking your a mw2 fanboy but if not then forget about that.
@Owner34 rofl did you even watch the video? they added a lot more than 3 weapons and oh yeah it's actually pretty damn sad that you just went to this vid to insult it. what a loser XD
I dont get what those halo fans see in this garbage, this game is made for kids...the NPCs look like damn camels lamas, Microsoft should give up with this ugly series...
halo 3.2...new weapons and some better graphics...I know I know rabbid fans are gonna cry once more because we laugh at their baby... well if it was a baby, let me tell ya, it's an ugly one same as the 3 ugly ones before him !
Cause this totally is not the same thing as all the other halos -sarcasim-. What did they do, add three new weapons or something?
You've got a COD killer right here! Yes something else apart from the over rated multiplayer of COD!
Vote: Thumbs up if you think this game will kick ass. Thumbs down if you have no soul, and you think this is going to be just another Halo.
