Behind the times.

User Rating: 2 | Halo: Reach X360
I used to LOVE halo. When halo 2 came out it was WAY ahead of it's time. Other first person shooters at the time were 4 players with choppy graphics and generally bad online game play. Halo 2 was the stranded back then. Forcing any other FPS into the future. Now a days Halo sits back trying to suck every dime they can of their previous success. With every new release of halo I hear the same thing from the publishers "we didn't want to do TOO much to change things up". Then they go on about what they did change which isn't much. Changing a few guns that no one uses into new guns that STILL aren't used isn't enough anymore. Other FPS now a days let you decide between play lists with friendly fire turned on or off. While halo sits back and explains to everyone that they're just trying to stick with tradition. No matter what way you spin the story the truth is halo is just trying to suck every dime they can from their previous success. I could sit here and go on and on about what's new in FPS and how halo is behind the times. However, most people who still love the game don't want to hear the truth so it's not worth trying to change minds. This is mostly for the people who haven't played halo and are thinking about trying it. Don't! There are WAY more FPS out there that are improving on what halo 2 started. Halo reach just isn't worth the time.

PS: I know my review won't be widely accepted. I will most likely get flagged just for rating this game a 2. All I can say is I'm sorry. This is truly how I after playing countless hours on this game. And if you're asking your self "if the game was so bad way did he spend so much time playing it?". My answer to that is I was was clueless about how far FPS have come.
