Everything you ever wanted to know about the Halo series in one handy video. Presented by Danny O'Dwyer.
I loved that controller, It was awesome.
Fondest memory would have to be playing Halo 1 for the first time not knowing what to expect and being blown away.
I hate Beyonce. She's such a camper.
My most memorable moments from the Halo series? In Halo 3 campaign, when my son roasted me three times in less than 5 minutes with the flamethrower (tip: make the person with the flamethrower stay in front of you at all times). The last time was when I spawned on him; he saw the movement at the edge of his screen, panicked, and spun around with his finger on the trigger... -_- Another was in Halo 3 multiplayer (Team Slayer), when I was doing particularly well with the flamethrower. One of my teammates, after seeing me roast an enemy, ran through the burning corpse, caught fire, and booted me for teamkilling. >_< Oh, and the first time I assassinated a jetpacking opponent in Halo: Reach. ^_^
also in Halo 1, did anyone else happen to squeeze the warthog where it wasn't supposed to go? i.e. the hall when getting down to the cartographer? you had to do a little work but if you got the front set of wheels through the hall door then you were good and could just shoot rockets to get in the rest of the way. all this work just to get an fmv to glitch. basically the rock that master chief kicks off the platform will now just magically fly off. master chief never kicks it in this glitched version of the fmv. go try it if you don't trust me. also you can just run over the invisible sword elite which is useful.
easily my favorite moment was just messing around in the multiplayer levels with my cousins. using the warthogs to hit the tanks at full speed, launch off have the tank then having the tank fire at the warthog to launch it higher while getting out mid air and rocketing yourself to get ourselves as high possible and even getting to glitch into the ceiling of blood gulch. i can still remember the day my cousin and i figured out how to scale down the wall of assault on the control room. we were so excited to have found a exploitable glitch in the framework. basically no enemies spawned because we skipped the long elevator and double bridge section. apparently the coding only spawned enemies in order of encounter. so if you skip one set of enemies no more would appear for the entire level. now this is the level with the banshees so they would just be sitting around in three spots throughout the level, just waiting to be flown. good fun with the banshees and exploring parts of the level the dev team never banked on you exploring.
What I like about Halo was the Halo 3 commercial that was released along with the limited edition Mountain Dew. I have some of it.
my favorite thing about halo was that it made ever other fps game since then use the crappy ass hide an regen your health bs that dont belong in fps. other then that i still this the series was crap other then the stories
@ Bobadork and halo 3 is garbage compared to halo 2, which still has the best multiplayer of any shooter ever.
Halo 3 is the best in the series. And everyone is gonna disagree and say halo reach is the best... halo reach is garbage compared to halo 3
Best halo memories are staying up late eating pizza and drinking red bull playing multiplayer with my mates.. good times! :D
My favorite memory is playing dodge the warthog in halo 2...
My absolute favorite memory was playing splitscreen multiplayer/campaign and running over my dad in free for all while he was invisible lol XD Also the last level in the warthog was the most epic thing ever at the time!!!! I had flashback memories while playing the last level of Halo 3, such a great series!
hahahaha it cracks me up how he keeps commenting on cortanas boobs.
the only good thing about odst was the included halo 3 multiplayer game. the story was good but theres those days you want to go online and shoot some faces
I hope Halo 4 is as good if not better then the first three. Hopefully 343 doesnt screw something this big up.
Nicely done O'Dwyer! Good times w/ Halo and let's all hope that Halo 4 can continue that legacy of awesomeness :)
I was never a fan of Halo until I went to university and my friends introduced me to Halo 3. It felt like I was playing Golden Eye for the first time again. I'll always remember it for all those nights getting a few guys and snack food and just killing each other for a few hours. I hope the fourth one continues to improve the series but considering its in different hands now its hard to say.
I'm worried that without Bungie, Halo 4 will suck... Bungie's never gonna be able to top Halo :\ too bad.
love it
Many a nights spent at my mates huddling around a splitscreen Halo 2. Good times.
great job on the show. This kinda reminds me of the sadly now defunct Play Value. Keep it coming :D
He forgot to mention the line of machinimas that followed the series... man this game gave great memories
Ah... Halo 2 was one of those right place, right time for gaming type of games. Good set of friends who were always online (including me), good time to waste (freshmen in high school)... brilliant.
Fondest memory of halo... I have to manny, but I've loved staying up all night with some buddys killing eachother on Halo 3 custom games. Good times, good times.
marathon was hella awesome
hope the battle rifle comes back in halo 4
lol, love this guy...the only non-review videos I watch on gamespot
i some time's call halo: space call of duty!
Halo 3 multiplayer... that was some of the funnest epicosity ever.
I wish Halo 3 and Reach got ported over to the PC. I'm enjoying both on my 360 but i would love to play them even more on my PC. Halo 1 on the PC still has a large community supporting it with tons of custom made maps and crazzy mods being released all the time. Some people even re-made Halo 2's and 3's MP in Halo 1. Just imagine what moders would be able to do if Halo 3 and Reach got to the PC.
halo wars has the same gameplay as empire totel war! that's why? is sucks!
@Fayt1986 I Agree about halo 1, but I dissagree about reach. In my opinion it is probably the worst halo game besides maybe halo wars. I think that 2 and 3 were much better reach, and they had a better XP system that based your rank on your skill level and not how long you play. Also AAs ruined map control and the arcade-style halo multiplayer that we all love. I hope that halo 4 gets it right and that 343 will take it seriously and not get bored with halo like bungie did when they made reach.
halo1 and reach are the best in the series. i really want 4 but i think it will lack bugies heart and soul.
Bluffer guide for 1. Grand theft auto 2. Max Payne 3. assassin's creed 4. Need for Speed 5. Sims
oh for god sakes mate! Noble (with the exception of George) are spartan III's ... Sorry I just had to go a bit nerd ragey
Having Sebastian's face between your crotch and rubbing away at his mug is ... something I don't see every day.
Amusing poke at Beyonce. :P
Good video, think he tried a bit to hard to be funny though. Wasn't as natural as h's other vids.
I'll probably get ce aniv. for christmas. my memory of halo is playing reach split screen with 3 of my friends
Halo is great and all but with 4 the series really needs a facelift the mulitplayer is fun and it should remain largely the same but it needs some new stuff not crap from mw but new hopefully 343 has some good ORIGINAL ideas.
i also started with a massive controller, although it was at a friends house who luckily had two consoles (one was his, one was his brothers), so my first experience of halo, was the original, 2 person multiplayer. Being a PC gamer, i loved it when it came out (for the pc, obv.). not played the later games because they are not. shame.
Love Bluffer's guide. Not so much for Halo. Maybe because when I first tried it I had to play with that massive controller. I never looked back
I'm going to start getting some Halo games!
i love halo
Good job on the show, great as usual! I thought my first ride in a Warthog was it, until I shot down a Banshee, but didn't destroy it. When I found out you could "jack" the alien ships, I spent the rest of the game trying to see what else I could ride in. Also, when I first shot a team mate in the campaign mode, only to be attacked but the whole squad, they thought the Master Chief went mental. I thought that level of detail was unreal! That last level riding in the Warthog with my cousin riding shotgun, was a blast!
@aaron263 you must be new here.jpg
@Zero_Echo,happyride Just what i was thinking! About time GS had some half-decent wit instead of dull commercially scripted reviews. (And he's Irish like me, so another +1 fer eatin' spuds, lol)
@Fandango_Letho Many games nailed it before Halo in that aspect but yeah for a lot of people its THE GAME that got them into gaming.
He is pretty good. Funny Video i like this feature. Best Halo Memory is 1st discovering the Demo in a shop in my local City and standing at the console with my friend and playing it for like 4 hours straight lol. College? Naaaa I wish GS wouldnt skip to the next Video at the end of your current Video! For those who want toi comment after watching something it can be annoying lol.
