Oh, I remember the days wasted playing this game on multiplayer with a bunch of friends, often for hours.
First I'll start on the gameplay. I personally think Legendary is nerve-racking because of its difficulty, so I like Heroic. As soon as the game kicks off, its action, action, action. You race to the bridge of a spaceship to report to your captain,and are informed of aliens boarding; getting handed a pistol. From there you fight them (the Covenant) throughout the game, and finally a infectious foe called the Flood. The story with these two factions and the humans is deep, and confused me the first time around, but I think the Flood is badass. But yeah, theres always action and your probably going to die alot your first time 'round. GAMEPLAY: 4/5
The sounds are immerse, as well. The cries and grunts/yells of Humans and Covenant and the explosions and gunfire WITH the music (great soundtrack, intense.) make the auditory side of the game pleasing. SOUND: 4/5
The replay value of this game is pretty good, if you plan on going up on difficulty. I first tried Heroic, and am still in the process of beating Legendary. I recommend for beginners Normal.

The controls are great, very comfortable for a FPS. The kind of controls that met my standard of FPS's on the XBOX.

As I said before, the game has a complex story, and while it COULD'VE been longer, I think it was perfect

Halo is definitely THE game to have for XBOX. Great campaign, great multiplayer. I bought my XBOX, and this was the first game I got. I think personally this is the best in the series, but thats just me. Definitely buy this if you like FPS's and you are looking for a masterpiece.
