The first time I played Halo : Combat Evolved was about when I was 9 years old. And I loved it! Halo is an awesome shooter, with a deep and imersive story.To start off the story you play as Master Chief, a top gunner U.S. Marine,who's mission is to destroy the covenant fleet and to destroy the Flood along with Halo, an ancient covenant ring. There are 14 levels in all. As you play through the campaign mode you'll be guided by a highly intelligent AI called Cortana, she guides you through the levels of the game. The covenant are an acient alien race that consist of Grunts, Elite's, Jackels, and the very toughg Hunter. As for the Flood they are parasite's that infest and take over the dead bodies of the marines. The weapons that Master Chief uses in the game are great, from a variety like a Shotgun to a Rocket Launcher.The graphics in Halo are awesome, from the looks of the vehicles and levels , to the looks of the covenant aliens. For the sound, is great and realistic, and is very clear. The controls in the game are easy to master and to get used to.
OVERALL: 10/10 Probably one of the best shooting games ever made. Is a great first game for the Xbox. Is also an excellent choice for a new Xbox owner.
