1 Like I can't believe the hate being leveled at this game, we complain about everything these days, campaign too short, multi-player isn't exactly what I was hoping for...etc. I was dubious when Bunjie handed over control to 343 studios but...It's a solid game. The gameplay is quintessentially Halo, the enemy AI is tough (play it on legendary) and the wealth of DLC for free is what we have been screaming for. I have read the books, played the game and am happy as with the direction being taken in this fantastic universe.

2. No Team Doubles
3. No True skill ranking system The vast majority doesnt really play to win cause there is no skill rank. Thus, no penalty if you lose a match.
4. Ordnance system is a total FAIL. Everyone's running around with heavy machine guns, swords, shotguns, Overshields etc etc. Its all totally random so its impossible to play the game tactically in a 4x4 match.
In Halo 3 it was like: One map, one Sword, One shotgun. One Overshield, One Camo. Every player had equal chances to get to them so they had equal chances to win a game.
5. The new loadout system --> also FAIL. The perks take away the balance, so that also makes it impossible to play the game tactically.
6. The progression system and its rewards are totally lame.
7. The maps SUCK compared to Halo 3's
8. Spawn system is broken. Example 1: You can kill the same player twice and get a double kill. Example 2: You kill 2 or 3 players and they instantly respawn in your line of sight in the field in front of you. Which means you die.
I can go on and on. Also about the campaign: its short and its not as epic as Halo 3's or Reach's. The new promethean enemies are not nearly as fun to fight as the covenant. and their weapons are kinda dull.
The game deserves an 8... max. I cant believe those Ass kissers @ IGN gave it a 9.8.

"The new promethean enemies are not nearly as fun to fight as the covenant. and their weapons are kinda dull." that's not true, well maybe for you but I was getting sick of fighting the covenant infact I was happy when I heard they added a new race (the flood) into halo and they were absolutely annoying to fight but I prefered fighting them the the BORING OLD COVENANT that was 100% the same all the time, they could've added more to their race (you can't say the engineer was an addition to the covenant race because they are actually just slaves) the only covenant fights I enjoyed at all was the close range hunter fights with mythic, toughluck and on legendary, because they were all about mobility and chance and skill, now with new enemies we can actually enjoy it will be much better, and I love the looks of the new guns, they aren't so cheesy and stupid like the last batch.. except the gun normally used in team swat matches... team swat is just too lovely to say I didn't enjoy it with its weaponry...
Also IGN are not Ass Kissers, they just enjoy the game alot more then you do, if you hated something doesn't mean other share your stupid opinion about it.
A Halo 3 multiplayer match was tense and exciting. Especially Team Doubles. You wanted to win to get to lvl 50. With Reach they took away the ranking system so it didnt really matter if u won or lost. But it was still Halo.
With Halo 4 they went totally nuts. Im sorry to say it but what the hell were they thinking? Everything that made halo 3 multiplayer so damn good has been changed.
Tried watching the entire review to find if there was anything appealing and interesting about this game. Fell asleep after 5 mins. That gamespot music at the end of the review woke me up.
Played and finished... had the feel of just another Halo game, nothing new even tho they changed the bad guys a lil.

@Jret14 @feared4power I have played this game and I didn't find the multiplayer/singleplayer campaign satisfying. The only part I did like was the spartan ops. Of course this outpaces Crack Ops 2 by leagues.
I've never been a huge Halo fan, but after playing through Halo 4... I'm all in. 343 put together one helluva tale, and I haven't even started the MP yet.

2 Like I dont see why they would sell a halo 3 expansion as if its a new game. The gameplay is identical, halo 4 is a halo 3 map and story expansion, the game didnt really evolve in any aspect.
4 Like After buying ODST and Reach, I'm reluctant to buy this. I'm tired of Halo. Also tired of Call of Duty. These trilogies are getting tired. Nice to see Master Chief back, but 10 hours or so game play is not worth the 60 bucks. Playing Skyrim on a second play through is biding my time until Far Cry 3 comes out. Only buy if you want to cap off your collection or wait til it goes on sale at Target 6 months down the road.
3 Like @Phlanxion Well... then you obviously wouldn't "buy" any halo game if all you do is play the campaign right? I mean... any game you play through once and never touch again doesn't deserve 60 bucks. Look up on the multi player... that's where the 60 bucks is due. It's the best MP since halo 2, and I approve.
@MxAa @Phlanxion for games lika assasins creed i tend to buy it, do the campaign then return it, as you get 7 days to return it =) saves myself a loot of money. as games like that dont have good MP. (halo has got exceptional MP)

1 Like SPOILERS: ok i'll admit it was a good game, i loved the graphix, the mocap was spectacular on the actors, it started out great... But it was WAY too short, the ending had NO confronation, it didnt build up the way the end of the game SHOULD have.. and you didnt know what was going on half the time because the game is so loud you cant hear barely any dialouge. the main bad guy, you never face in actual gameplay so he doesnt feel like a threat at all in any way. plus he shows up halfway thru which makes him a side character at best. that and he looks almost exactly like Garrus from mass effect. the ending also didnt even leave you hanging at all for the halo 5 + 6 they'll have.
1 Like @Legojake94 .... If you like 14 year old graphics engine (and yes it uses a 14 year old graphics engine so don't even talk) then sure. Only thing good about black ops is zombies. Game is terrible online. The maps are so hilariously bad.

@RonnieCordova @Legojake94 @MxAa So I see I have found another follower of Call of Duty: Black Ops. I have to say (even though I'm ashamed) that I tried to like BO2. It didn't work at all. Maybe Treyarch should've called it submachinegun ops 2. If you think I'm just a troller/rager I have a 1.5 KD (used to have a 1.61 on it but decided to run around with a combat knife (got it gold)) I went on and went 25 and 5 with the FUCKING VECTOR K 10!!!!!

It's not run and gun either due to the ridiculous amount of camping. Halo takes more skill and consistency to be good at. I have both games, before they came out I didn't know how I was going to divide my time between them. After playing them Halo 4 was obviously better. I'd even rather play Black Ops 1 over 2. It was just not as much of a quality game as I'm used to seeing from Treyarch. While 343 knocked it out of the park. A tight cinematic Campaign and an evolved Multiplayer that keeps bringing me back for more.
2 Like @Legojake94 @MxAa BO2 has such a hilariously bad story, and the multiplayer isnt worth playing unless you just want to grind through the same 4 levels until your twitch gaming skills are honed to a razor edge. Both of what you say has merit, but also, the engine is only 7 years old. They havent updated it at all since COD4, the last good Call of Duty game. Why? Because it was fresh and not the same repackaged multiplayer and ridiculous story. The story of COD 4 was actually believeable somewhat compared to one guy just going through and killing thousands of people, then hiding behind a chest high wall to make sure that he can wipe the jam out of his eyes, because apparently the enemies didnt get the memo that they should use real bullets instead of little vials of jam... Anyways, in this Halo, if you didnt read any of the books or know any of the backstory, you wont get the full enjoyment out of a spectacular game.
1 Like The writing is good they said but if you see the clips of them speaking lol . . . I have not played it but if your going to say the story and writing is good you should of showed some beter areas that was really bad.
1 Like @carnivalshow i played it, and i had no idea what was going on half the time man. the game itself was so loud you couldnt hear ANY dialouge. and the ending Sucked horribly. there was no real confrontation at all
