I am thinking a Halo 4 ODST, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 2 ODST (Prequel) would all be cool games that they could make after Halo 4.

343's very own Josh Holmes joins us on stage at EB Expo 2012 to give us a demo of Halo 4 and take community questions!
Is it me or does the Promethean rifle have the same reload animation as the covenant carbine...?
@cejay0813 Would make sense 'cause almost every technology the covenant got is based on forerunner tech.
to much smoke n mirrors, wheres the heart of the story, no arbiter are you fucking kidding, oh lets comibe a dmr withe a battle rifle.... oh wait that just a br on singke shot...im sorry you have to see this bungie
Atleast the multi-team battles are back in campaign. I really missed them in 3, ODST and Reach because they were the best parts in Halo 1 and 2. Covenant and Flood mixed with Sentinels on Halo1 or Covenant Loyalists and Covenant Rebels, with Flood mixed there in Halo 2 are most epic gaming moments.
@PrpleTrtleBuBum yeah that was great instead of running in and killing every thing in your path just sit back and watch your enemy's fight to the death and when there's not much left finish them off, worked great on Legendary.
I'm looking forward to the game, but the weapons are just stupid. "One of the cool things about introducing a new race is that it allows us to make all these new toys", sure, that's great in theory. So what did you guys come up with? Oh, a magazine fed rifle -.- and what's that? A shotgun that even takes shells as if it was a human weapon? Yes. These were the crazy weapons I imagined Prometheans using...
@IndianaPwns39 Ikr? At first I was all, :), about the new weapons..... but they're all repetitive.... why would the Prometheans use such basic weapons?
@rhombiii @IndianaPwns39 Nerd alert! The Forerunner weapons change shape for who ever is using it. The Human Scattershot is different from a 'Forerunner' Scattershot, for example.
@rhombiii @IndianaPwns39 Nerd alert!!! The Forerunner weapons change according to the species using it. The Human Scattershot is different from the 'Forerunner' Scattershot, for example.
Is it just me or does Halo not even feel like Halo anymore? Could be me tho I grew up playing Combat Evolved on split screen...
@UnaSolida I liked Halo: Reach.... but without Bungie, can they pull this game off? Kind of lame new weapons, right guys?
@rhombiii @UnaSolida I lost my respect for Bungie when they did what they did with Reach.
If they change something, fans complain. If they don't fans complain. This is just about as different as it gets without making a new game. People need to grow up and just play it if you want to or don't play it if you don't. I think the game looks pretty great myself and I really don't see how this could be compared to the paint-over's from the CoD series. If you're really a fan you'd easily see the differences. I'm not even a big Halo fan and I can easily see differences.
@Oozyrat they dont need to change the MP but I really hope they get a decent SP campaign because the campaign of Reach was pure bore.
I have to say the helmet effect seem good - more fps games need to make wearing a helmet 'feel' right, particularly in the sense that it should seem restricting without making the gameplay annoying (CoD's attempts are an example of how not to do this). That said the immersion that gives gets completely ruined whenever it goes into third-person, which seems to happen fairly often.
Not much of a Halo fan (understatement; I don't like the series at all) so I don't really feel like I can comment on much else.
idk this really didn't look all that exciting to watch...... kinda boring to be honest
Looks like the same thing from the past 4 games. It's COD all over again. Same game, different paint job with the same redundant variations on Death Match and CTF. How about you make a SINGLE PLAYER only game for once heh? So tired of these franchises.
@DarthLod so halo has to change it roots but game's like resistance, killzone, half-life etc etc can keep all the same guns and enemy's? yeah right if it changed it wouldn't be halo and if there was no multiplayer no one would buy it, u make no sense kid.
@DarthLod So a game that has the components for both single player and multiplay that would be fun with both single player and multiplayer should not have single player and multiplayer? I don't understand.
I would never express dislike towards the Halo franchise because I have enjoyed many hours playing the games. However, I'm finding that my Initial Interest In Halo 4 Is somewhat diminished recently. Hopefully the campaign will be long & Interesting.
I think this interview could have been better if they had a decent recording equipment that didn't pick up all the background noise going on its rather hard to concentrate on whats been shown when all you can here in the video is rabble and also if the guy being interviewed can't talk and play a game at the same time (which I find a little strange because as a gamer you pick that up in life lol) why not just pause the game to answer questions. Its strange how the quality of these videos are because in previous stage demos from last years game exspos the quality of them were a lot better from gamespot.
And unless you are indestructible in Halo 4 I'm guessing he's on a VERY low difficulty.... on Legendary or even Heroic (really hard and kinda hard respectively) you go down from a couple of solid salvos.... I'm guessing he just wants to show off the level a bit and not die 20 times and have to respawn. I'm guessing it's low difficulty and not some developer "God Mode" because the enemies are going down pretty easy, too. (and displaying kinda weak AI). Just commenting about whoever said the AI was terrible. There are some designers from previous Halo games.... and I'm guessing they are going to go over it with a fine-toothed comb to make sure they don't screw up this franchise. It has too many loyal fans and is too big of a cash-cow.
As for the people wondering what the big deal with Halo is.... I've been a PC gamer most of my life. When I got tired of paying to keep upgrading my rig I picked up a PS2 (when they were already kinda old) to play the many, many good RPGs on that system. I'd played System Shock 2 and Deus Ex and the like on my PC.... but Halo 1 was the first FPS I'd played on a console and been completely blown away by. The feel of the weapons... just the feel of the overall gameplay. I picked up an Xbox pretty much FOR Halo. Over time I enjoyed the PS2 more because of the more established library of games (remember the Xbox was kinda a shot in the dark at the time).... luckily the 360 has had a much, much, MUCH better library of games. (still love my PS2 though.... play that thing a lot for all my old Shin Megami Tensei, Xenosaga, etc).
Long-winded, but the point is that Halo was good enough to solidify the Xbox as a viable console.... the 360 would not have competed head-to-head with the "Big 2" of Nintendo and Playstation if Halo had never come around.
@CaptWaffle At around 12:50 he talks about the AI and says 'Once you get on Heroic blah blah blah' so I assume he was playing on Easy or Normal modes.
@CaptWaffle I am system agnostic too, and play since Pong on TV. Let me quote Bob Dylan, who said more recently: "don't compare me to my own (past) work, compare me to todays music artists". When I see any Halo game, I see a slow paced, generic SciFi "pew pew pew" game, as if somebody turned the first Unreal game into slomo mode. There is a market for this on consoles. Playing FPS with the fastest controls, no hand-holding, no slow-down - to let the player turn around, no auto-aim, one-kill shots, is something I prefer - hence PC. And that is why I laugh at Halo fanboys, believing their beloved franchise is the greatest thing since sliced bread. And if they start with "it has a great story" - I like to point to Larry Niven, from whom they stole the Ringworld, in the first place. Maybe I am still bitter that Bungie was bought by Microsoft before they finished the first Halo (PC Version)? Haha :D
@sethfrost @CaptWaffle Spoken like a true ignorant prick, well done Sir. This coment comes also from a PC gamer, but from one who knows a goood game when he sees one:)
Lay off the girl.... you guys are being jerks. I don't know about all of you but I'd rather her NOT ask way too many questions that will end up ruining any surprise that the game will hold. No reason to be such immature jerks.
First of all, the lady and that guy are not idiots. Gamers, please show some maturity and respect. You have the right to post your opinion, but is it that hard to be respectful? There was a time when the internet did not exist. All we had was Electronic Gaming Monthly, the back of the video game boxes, and our imaginations. There was no such thing as video game footage back then. Now here we are, with plenty of ways to check out upcoming games with COMMENTARY. Don't know about you, but that's huge in my book. Many older gamers forgot where they came from. As for this generation, appreciate the coverage whether you agree with it or not.
Maybe I shouldn't even ask, because I guess I just expect it to be there since the past Halo games had it, but do we know (from my lack of reading about it) if there will be split screen co-op?
@NTM23 I think there will be most likely online coop on the campaign but spilt-screen seems unlikely judgeing from the graphics they look to good for the xbox to play 2 screens at once but i could be wrong i guess we will find out on the 6th.
@jayjay444 Thanks for the reply and theory, but I was mainly just asking if anyone actually knew, ha ha. As for your point though, I'm not sure, I think if they're going to put in co-op at all, they'd want to put in split screen, or just take it out altogether. I think the graphics look really great, but I don't believe any game is that great to not put it in if the developer wanted to. They'd find a way.
@NTM23 I don't think there will be this time round telling by the QTE that they now have integrated into the gameplay of the campaign which is a really big shame but I think they might still have Firefight mode which you may be able to play split screen. I hope 343 industry's hasn't just dropped split screen completely that would be a let down because I always saw split screen as a big draw in because of it.
@JJB03 Yeah, that's a good point. I haven't really heard anything about it, but all of the Halo games so far have had it, so I just imagined it would in this game, but when I wrote this, I had just thought about it. It's not impossible to do co-op through the aspect, like when Chief is climbing up the elevator, but it'd also make sense that because of that, there won't be. You're right. Also, I deliberately didn't call it a QTE, 'cause I'm not sure if that's exactly what you'd categorize it as.
@JJB03 Well, to be true the the rest of the Halo games, the co-op didn't really make sense to the story in the other ones either, that's why they still focused on only Master Chief during the campaign, they didn't creatively try to add onto it by making sense of the co-op. Co-op was just there. I understand though. I'm just saying, it's not impossible to put in co-op there. In the end, I probably won't care too much that it's not put in.
@NTM23 its a shame really because in Halo 3, a big aspect of the game was the four player co op through the campaign, but forcing it in every Halo, making the story still work and giving the main character a purpose would be a nightmare for the creative team.
