Images have surfaced via NeoGAF displaying eight new enemy types and 6 new weapons for Halo 4.
I'm saying I don't like Halo 4, I think it looks pretty good, I'm just a bit disappointed that they didn't leave it at Halo 3. Master Chief fought his battle, and Halo 3 ended awesomely, so why change it? It would of been better if they created an entirely new character to fight in Halo 4, just to keep the series moving, and turn the MC into some sort of folk-lore legend, I think the series at least deserved that.

@diabolik_023 Yeah, we need even the HALO REACH. Darn Microsoft should know any better that the first of the HALO games started out on the PCs! :-(
@gamergath @diabolik_023 actually im pretty sure halo started out as an rts game for mac before ms got in and made it an xbox launch title

@gamergath Your grammar confuses me a little but if you're saying Halo started on PC you are wrong, it first came out on Xbox, although I am disappointed they stopped releasing it for the PC since I don't have an Xbox, too few exclusives to be worth it.

Halo is a great series. One of the best of the last 10 years. Its just its getting very stale to me. I feel like from halo 2 to halo reach, I've been playing the same game for the last 7 years. I'm gonna get halo 4, and I hope it feels like a breath of fresh air, but I doubt it will really feel any different than halo reach.
HOnestly I have to agree with you, none of them have really been that much different, I still say halo 2 was the best for online play honestly, the maps and weapons just were perfect in my opinion.
Hopefully the Chief finally gets a good story in this one, halo 2's story too me sucked or the way they told it.
@grimhope i enjoyed the 3rd on the 360 after that it got a little silly. They still feel and look great but a change in direction is drastically needed. Non the less a good series with the command and conquer style game adding to the diversity of it, though that could have been better, but hey rarely do you find a game that pleases everyone !!

Yet again we have our Halo Fans causing havoc in the forums. Yes, the enemy's appearance don't seem to vary in a big way. However, we all know, this minor setback won't even pop into our tiny, Halo obsessed brains while we play this God-Like game. Why? BECAUSE IT'S HALO 4 THAT'S WHY! Let's all knock off our disappointing attitude towards one of the best franchises ever made. I would love for someone to tell me they are not going to purchase this new edition to Halo just because they saw this video (but I agree with all of you, it should have been an article!) I support whatever they do because every game with Halo as part of the title, has kicked so much ass!...except Halo Wars...What the hell was that about?
Halo wars doesn't really count it was not made by bungie but by...uh the guys that did those games like over 10 years ago...My brain cant remember been drinking but shocked that their last game was halo wars and it failed horribly. I doubt they really put that much effort in the game they just wanted to go out with some extra cash by planting halo in a name of their shitty game.

@DryPancakeSo? In Halo, the Covenant have had similar varieties of enemies. Like the Elites, they have Minors, Majors, Ultras, SpecOps, Zealots. They all look the same, just with slightly different armor.
People didn't complain about that back then, why are you complaining about it now?
@RPGFreak90 Because the covenant had Hunters, Grunts, Jackals, Elites, Brutes, Prophets, Engineers, and Drones(Each of course with their own classes too). The Prometheans are just Knight, Watcher, and Crawler.
@DryPancakeWell, some of the Covenant will be making repeat appearances in the game, so to avoid an excessive crowd of enemy types, they had to make only a few kinds of Prometheans. I'd say the overall number of enemies will be around the same as the other games.
And who knows? Maybe they'll throw a curveball and add a completely unexpected enemy into the game, just like they did with the Flood in the first game.
Halo never exactly excelled at enemy variety that's for sure, it seems like now it has only 3 types with a handful of different skins for each.
@Daian ....This is only the Promethean enemies, there are Covenant enemies as well, not saying that adds to the variety a lot, but there is more than just the prometheans.
@Ultra_Taco What about in every other Halo before this one, just a handful of covenant enemies, it was like shoot a little alien, shoot a tall alien, shoot a little alien, shoot a tall alien, grunt, elite, grunt, elite, and so on. Sure, there are a few more than just those 2 (about 6 total) but those make the bulk of it. I got bored of it after a point. Just saying, for a SciFi game it lacks variety.
@Daian @Ultra_Taco first of all u have never played halo, soon as u sed u kill grunt then elite then grunt then elite i new u hadden played a halo game because every one i know kills ALL the grunts first then they kill the elites. 2ND of all there is 8 enemy variety in the covenant alone elites,hunters, brutes,skirmishers,jackels,drones,grunts,engineers, never mind the flood or prometheans. also there is 25 weapons on halo reach alone, and theres at minimum 7 new ones added in halo 4? in my opinion there is a huge variety of enemy in halo,
@shakensparco Well in "realistic" games you can't expect a lot of variety but it should be mandatory in SciFi and Fantasy games.
A lack of enemy diversity has always been a big problem in games. I recently played Vanquish and Enslaved. Both had very little variety. Actually, same goes for Splinter Cell, Bioshock, (Esentially the same people in different skins), Far Cry, Dead Space, and many, many other games.
When you really look at it, much of the enemy variety in games is derived from altering a base model.
@DOW161 This is there new experiment/idea of producing gaming news, as people were finding SS to be alittle stale. I personally like this new idea as you can click on the news that you wanna hear about.
