E3 2011: Official Trailer: Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

never been to big of a fan of halo but after seein this and some other vids. i think i definitaly will play more, i bet 343 will do better than bungie also, cant wait!!!

I just hope It's not a two part game with Master Chief and then we have missions with Arbiter who comes in to save the day like Halo 2.

I can't even guess what the story line would be for the fourth game it seemed like everything was wrapped up really well at the end of the third game

Thats not a jetpack its a thruster pack that is use in environments where there is little or no gravity such as space.

I think the story has conclude pretty well in 3, let's hope this was not an act of greed from Microsoft to milk out the franchise. :| Anw, I've always been a supportive fan of Halo, so fingers crossed. :))

and i honestly hope they dont make sprint a power -____-. hes a super soldier hes doesnt need a damn power pack to run. and the other abilities sucked terribly, except for the jet pack which was fun, but it wont feel like halo

since when does chief have boosters? it may be a Covenant planet, but i have strong feeling that its an artificial planet built by the forerunners like onyx, maybe some survived in it. and no one say the covenant is defeated, only the attacking military and the prophets were.

I can't knock this one since I haven't even seen any gameplay, but I loved how #3 wrapped it all up and kinda want it to stay that way. This franchise and the Bioshock series I've always loved for their powerful storylines and I don't want to see that lost in Halo!

This game isn't out until holiday 2012...which is a very high chance that Microsoft won't be playing around with upgrades and new consoles until the end of the next year. Looking forward to the game. Everyone has high expectations.

@BrockAlexander Usually 90% of the time. When they say its coming out on a holiday, its usually Christmas.

This is the thing. 343 is the part of Bungie that wanted to keep making Halo games and stay with Microsoft. The rest of them moved on. So technically Bungie is still in this. They are just going by 343 cause that indicates that they are here for Halo and Halo alone.

Having just recently play through the series again I feel that there are a lot of reasons that this could go badly. Not having the Bungie team work the game for one could mean a whole lot of changes. I know at the end of the 3rd Halo the game was left open for expansion but at the time felt like all the ties of the series had been put together in one satisfying conclusion. Hopefully this will be yet another amazing game to include with the franchise, but I also fear that they could have milked this cow too much.

Holidays 2012, can someone shed some light on what that date means, obviously thats geared at USA. Is that Late 2012?

just reading a few comments below, this was obviously coming as bungie said after reach 'this was the end of Halo with any BUNGIE involvement' making it obvious there were going to be more halo games. As to the franchise being dead, there is still anything involving covenant space to look at and the possibility of meeting up with other spartans from the project that created john (which is covered in the halo books). The game won't be a prequel as that trailer links directly into the end of Halo three where everyone thinks john is dead and it you get to see he is stranded on ship in deep space. Finally it looks like they may have added a stealth element into the main halo game (beyond grunt slapping) as if u look at the pistol right at the end john appears to fit a silencer to it! interesting.

@XxSUPERSNAKExX this is being developed by 343 studios the guys who helped with odst and reach, bungie isn't involved at all with this one.

@Scorchstar Bungie couldn't work on the game even if they wanted to. Microsoft owns the Halo franchise and Bungie doesn't work for Microsoft anymore.

Just kidding lol! but Halo universe is in the future like in the year 2553 means super advance technology, anything is possible in a fictional world, but it has to make sense.
