- "Just plain fun"
Is Halo 4 a Halo game? Sure. Does it play like Halo? Yes. Are the features in it reminiscent of Halo? Not quite.
Halo 4 is the first installment of 343i's Reclaimer Saga. It certaintly packs a punch for being 343i's first Halo game, but the question is if it is as good as Bungie's Halo? Let's find out.
Campaign - Instant classic. This is easily the best Campaign since Halo 2. Some minor storytelling issues detract from it, like "How do they know the antagonist's name?" or "Why are the Covenant Enemies again?" Hardcore fans of Halo Lore will be easily impressed with Halo 4's campaign, but it can perhaps leave newer players a bit confused. It's recommended to atleast read the books: Glasslands, and Thursday War, for maximum understandment and enjoyment.
9.5/10
War Games (Matchmaking) - First thing I'll say is that it's incredibly fun. Second is that a lot of the new changes implemented are not very "Halo" in nature. I personally think it's the most fun, but the least competetive. I do feel it has a Skill Gap though. A big one at that.
9.5/10
Spartan Ops - Halo 4's episodic playable TV series is quite an interesting experiment. It's for the most part very fun, and the storyline is engaging. The first half of season 1 can get repetitive, but overall, it's good.
8/10
Forge - Changes to Forge make it on Par with Halo Reach's Forge. Certain elements removed and added make for an interesting experience. It does allow Custom Games more reminicsent of Halo 3 though.
8/10
Theater - Nothing changed except the fact you can no longer view Campaign or Spartan Ops footage.
7/10
Overall, it's a solid game, and one of the best Video Games I've ever bought. Be sure to atleast try Halo 4 before you pass it up.

Recycled graphics from previous Halo's, lack of new Idea's, storyline is very dull and hard to follow. 343 Fails.

Solidifies itself as another quality installment in a venerable series.

Great Multiplayer, and Single Player takes the story in an interesting direction, but falls short of what I expected.
