There was always this "wow" factor when people saw the chief in past halo games, and it simply just isn't in halo 4. What pissed me off the most is how the captain of the Infinity would go against the chiefs judgement about the situation and tell him hes just an aging soldier. like wtf?! humanity owes its life to Chief. He is the only reason they are still alive, and when he comes in contact with humans again you would think people would be in awe of there savior. I didn't feel special for saving the human race and I felt disrespected by ungrateful people like the captain of the infinity.

yeah but i think it adds more depth to the storyline. its making it a little more realistic, and not master chief being the next jesus all the time.

It definetly WAS there. With Sarah Palmer and npc. When you break orders and decide to do it yourself. All the marines and fellow Spartans pretty much salute you and congratulate you in the armory when your strapping up.

you know, to be honest, i think master chief is kinda, well, lame. dont get me wrong, big halo fan, but i loved in reach the carry over of your own spartan into campaign, it made it more personal seeing your own spartan doing beast stuff. Now, i would love if they got rid of the boring gross armor and let you customize it but keep the attitude and voice. It could fit into the storyline too, like that he needs new armor and so you make it for him. master chief is getting old.
