At the end everything is blown up and somehow cortana makes a big blue ball of somthing that surrounds masterchief even though he was holding a nuke. i dont get it and its not explained. i feel like this is one of thos mass effect 3 moments where they just fail to explain on the story.....
There are many more moments like this but this is the biggest one that irks me.

To me at least (i could be wrong probably am) it looks like she surrounded cheif in the hard light stuff the bridge was made out of.it was kinda shown that she could manipulate it in that last scene with the didact.
i was wondering it aswll and this was the best reason i could gather from the second playthrough

Remember how she could control the environment in that building? Like the catwalks to the platforms that would appear out of thin air and she would create blue light bridges for you all over the place. All of that stems from her AI system, so why wouldn't she be able to have control over that final light bridge, you know? All of the clones that she made out of herself came together to kick some ass. I thought it was pretty cool.
OH, and the topic title is total spoilerage btw... not good.

Luke Havergal
Go to the western gate, Luke Havergal,
There where the vines cling crimson on the wall,
And in the twilight wait for what will come.
The leaves will whisper there of her, and some,
Like flying words, will strike you as they fall;
But go, and if you listen she will call.
Go the western gate, Luke Havergal
Luke Havergal.
No, there is not a dawn in eastern skies
To rift the fiery night that's in your eyes;
But there, where western glooms are gathering,
The dark will end the dark, if anything:
God slays Himself with every leaf that flies,
And hell is more than half of paradise.
No, there is not a dawn in eastern skies
In eastern skies.
Out of a grave I come to tell you this,
Out of a grave I come to quench the kiss
That flames upon your forehead with a glow
That blinds you to the way that you must go.
Yes, there is yet one way to where she is,
Bitter, but one that faith may never miss.
Out of a grave I come to tell you this
To tell you this.
There is the western gate, Luke Havergal,
There are the crimson leaves upon the wall.
Go, for the winds are tearing them away,
Nor think to riddle the dead words they say,
Nor any more to feel them as they fall;
But go, and if you trust her she will call.
There is the western gate, Luke Havergal
Luke Havergal.

It reminded me of the last Harry Potter movie lol. They just went to some magical realm for a chat and then he was still alive after? Also, light bridges are known for their nuclear explosion resistance.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
