A great first person shooter that any 360 owner should at least give it a shot.

Where to start, the begging perhaps, yes why not. Halo began on the original Xbox, where it set a new standard for console first person shooters, it was one of the best games on the original Xbox until Halo 2 hit the shelves and blew people away with the introduction of dual wielding and epic online multiplayer utilising Xbox Live.

Now onto Halo 3 itself, the campaign starts of where it left, Master Chief returning to Earth for humanities last stand against the Covenant. The campaign takes you to various location the arid desert highways of Earth to the metallic buildings of the founders. The campaign lasts around 6 - 10 hours depending on difficulty and player skill level, all of which can be played through with up to 3 friends via Xbox Live or System Link and can be played locally with two players. It is a mostly fun and enjoyable experience with varied missions, but they mostly feel the same which can lead to boredom but if your playing with a friend it much less monotonous.

Where Halo 3 really shine is its multiplayer, the same addictive multiplayer that gripped most original Xbox owners is back although slightly rebalanced (due to new weapons and equipment ect.) it feels even better than Halo 2. It includes many new game types and improves on older ones they cater to many styles of play from the run-and-gun in you to the silent but deadly sniper in you.

Halo 3 also offers two other game mode if you will, called Theatre and Forge the former of which allows player to view clips that the game record every time you play Halo from campaign and multiplayer and save and share clips and screenshots with friends. want to remind you mate how you scored a triple headshot on his team or want to revisit a match to work out strategy's from your enemies well you can. The later of the two new modes Forge allows players to manipulate the object placement on any multiplayer map of their choosing and share with friends. this mode is perfect for pros who feel the map is unbalanced or for casual player who want to make a weird twist to the map such as having one team spawn next to heavy weapons and the other spawn next to all the vehicles.

All in all Halo 3 is an excellent package for any 360 owner with a good story, nice little additions like Forge and Theatre and an Epic multiplayer experience, this game is well worth the money.
