I am not a fanboy, but this game is ingenious! People are still playing it even after three-four years!

User Rating: 10 | Halo 3 X360
Now I just want to make this clear. I am not a fanboy. Good now everyone can take this review seriously. Every halo game has been revolutionary in its own way. Halo 3 lives up to its hype, and goes even farther. Now I shall give a break down of the game.

Gamepaly: A FPS that involves you only carrying two guns at a time (unless duel wielding). You have shields that recharge over time, and a small amount of health that doesn't even have a health bar. You get a large variety of different guns, vehicles, and grenades. Sounds like a standard shooter... right?

Campaign: Campaign requires you to continue the halo storyline as master chief yet again. Some people complain that the game has a stupid storyline. No it doesn't. Most games don't have storyline like it. Now there may be some game AFTER halo that have a similar storyline, but if you all remember Halo has been around since 2000-2001. The campaign is largely fun, and even more fun with skulls, and friends. You get to take down scarabs in new ways that weren't in halo 2. The brutes make fun oppenents, and work much different than elites in combat. There are a LOT of secrets in the game which give a lot of replay value. The campaign has a lot of replay value even without the skulls.

Multiplayer: I could fill several books with how much fun Halo 3's multiplayer is. Basically the multiplayer is unlimited with possibilities! Since there is forge, and custom games you can make almost any gametype whether it's shooting players like ducks, racing in mongooses on elaborate tracks, or being chased through a maze by zombies. The multiplayer is so much fun that I actually played Halo 3 at least 3 times a week for three years. Trust me this game has great multiplayer. Especially with vehicles, which some shooters *coughCODcough* don't even have in multiplayer. Trust me this game has great multiplayer, and it is very well balanced.

Forge/custom games: Now we shall talk about forge. Forge allows you to edit maps very well, and make some maps that were built for slayer, to be transformed into maps that are made for duck hunting. Since you can make such elaborate maps in forge it means that you can make crazy gametypes to follow. Infection is probably the largest reason you are on forge, because infection may sound like it would work the same on each map, but even the slightest of changes on a map can make infection entirely different. There is a large amount of options in custom games that also allows you to have tons of fun.

Theatre: Now theatre was an amazing feature in itself. Very few games allow you to do any form of theatre, but the ones that do usually don't do it as good as Halo 3 did it. In halo you can go anywhere in camera mode, follow anyone, and even cut small clips out of your gameplay, or even take pictures and send them to a friend. This really helped out Machinima because it meant more people could do machinima work.

Good: Amazing campaign, tons of replay value, forge+custom games equals unlimited replay value, good graphics (for the time), theatre is great, nice weapons, beautiful explosions, great multiplayer fun, and a great matchmaking lobby that isn't confusing like some games.

Bad: Uhhhh..... well for 2010 I guess its graphics are outdated, but that's about it.

Overall: JUST GET THIS GAME!!!! or wait for Reach.
