Halo 3, a below Par game that has somethings that make it stand out from the crowd. (full review inside)
Id like to put down how I Score games (this is important if you want to understand why my score is so 'low':

Before i start id also like to add something extra: This is my opinion, and it means nothing so as a result don't send me hate mail or get it removed, its a valid review that has no swearing or anything in. And last time i checked freedom of speech was a right...and you are a FREE country aren't you???

Halo 3 is the latest and hopefully last halo game ever created. Microsoft's trump card once again falls painfully below my standards of FPS. Why? read on.
GRAPHICS
Yeah they look nice. But do they really??? No. Halo3 is basically Halo 2's graphics in HD with some jaggies removed and some new water textures. I know you cant totally change a games graphical style but come on! There could have been at least 1 cut scene where the graphics looked good all the time. Unfortunately this isnt the case and it filled with low texture quality, generic character models and just plain bad graphics in some areas.
SOUND
Halo 1 had GREAT music, halo 2 had meh music and halo 3 is like meh+rubbish=halo 3. Its not BAD. But its just Halo 1 music redone. AGAIN. That same tune in every dramatic cut scene to add tension. It fails horribly at doing this and is pretty cheap if they keep doing it. Also if you speed up the Dum Dum Dum DUUUUM part and play it on a electric guitar...it is identical to FFVII battle theme...just to point out. Voice acting is atrocious! I dislike generic voice acting but this takes it to a whole new level. If its not chiefs "look at me im so cool" voice its Johnson's bad 1 liners.
GAMEPLAY
The games saving grace, Halo 3 is not a great game, or even a good game, its an average game. Which is pretty impressive compared to the rest of the sections i have reviewed so far. Basically its ending the story with some climactic battle for the universe. And thats the story, everyone you knows dies, apart from you and the Arbiter and your like "THIS is the END! WTF! I THOUGHT HALO2 HAD A TERRIBLE ENDING!" this followed up with head explosion. The story is really bad. I mean seriously, only a trigger happy American or British person could actually think the story is intense. The gameplay however is pretty good. Standard FPS formula, but the problem is, you get bored part way through and just start to think "isnt this just a rip off of Half Life?" Covenant - Combine, Flood - Head crabs...although this game clearly has no morals, its still not a complete failure.
If you can put up with the SIX HOUR campaign, you have ONLINE! You can share your disappointment via 4 player Coop and then destroy everyone in rage in 8 v 8 online versus modes on a variety of maps. Hurray. Multi player IS halos only true good side. You can edit ALL maps in the game, download these custom maps via internet. This makes the game fun in custom games, but actual rank matches are boring and arent worth the effort. You can also take screen shots, movies and Movie clips of everything you do and save them to File Share and show all your friends, this makes playing the game slightly more bearable and its always fun to make a video of you glitching the game. Theres also 2 Map packs comming soon that should make the game a bit more interesting but you never know do you.
OVERALL
Halo is pretty awful offline and average online. Unless you have some friends, then dont even bother buying this game. If you do have friends i wouldn't recommend it, but i would consider renting or buying it for a few laughs.
