ODST is best for those who do not want to pay for Halo 3's DLC

ODST is a game that did not need to be made really. The game is really cheap now and it looks like it is 3 bucks at Gamespot's Gamemarket and that is a very good deal. However, this game used to be 60 bucks which is extremely overpriced. 10 to 15 dollars would be more like it. It is sad actually that greedy Microsoft had to put the launch price that high. Most of the people I know who bought it on day 1 said they returned it the next day so I decided to wait. I bought it for 10 dollars and that seems like what the price really should have been. The campaign is neat. Yes, neat. Not great. Not amazing. Not revolutionary. Neat. I liked the story and the more human feel. However, a campaign that you can beat in 1 sitting, and I am not kidding, does not justify the original 60 dollar launch price. There is only one new mode which is Firefight which is basically like Gears of War's Horde mode, but Firefight does not even have an online mode and since ODST is over 2 years old now, there really is no point for this mode. The upside for Halo 3 ODST is that it comes with a second disc which contains all the Halo 3 maps. If you do not want to pay for the DLC for Halo 3 or if you do not have Xbox Live, ODST's second disc is a great way to get all the maps you've missed out on. I did not want to buy the DLC so this second disc is really the only thing that made the 10 dollars really worth it. I cannot imagine paying anything more than 10 or 15 dollars for this game. Just pay the extra 10 for Halo: Reach which has a very strong online community.
