Halo 2 Graphics Comparison: Windows Vista vs. Xbox Video Feature (Xbox)

I like both the same now that I got Halo 2 for the PC

Halo 2 for PC > Halo 2 for xbox

Halo 2 on Xbox is fine

Ha...all you Xbots...Xbox fans are so spoiled about the graphical power in a game...seriously, would you guys actually play a game just because it looks good? Who is to judge a game for it's look, and not how fun it is, and not how much time it helps you waste?

@Hyperwarrior321 nope, Halo 3 is not coming to PC, but just like the deal for Halo Combat Evolved, the production was never officially canceled so maybe it IS coming to PC...

Halo 2 is the best of the Halo series. One of my favorite game levels of all time metropolis is in this game. i TRUCKIN LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! it's 2009 and i still play this game every so often BUY IT

mrbunny i dont know where you get your information from but the 360 has an ati card, which pretty much just makes you look stupid for even posting a comment about something you know absolutely nothing about, good day sir. if it was made for xp it would run on xp, it only runs on vista or xp if you use a hack. its no surprise you think this isnt a port, when it is.

Halo 2 is a DirectX 9 game, which means it's made for Windows XP, NOT Vista. The only additions that are in DX10 are only relevant for people with low-end computers. With a modern graphics card, none of these additions are used, nor required. Not that I'd ever expect GameSpot to know such a slight difference. And you should hope that a re-release for PC such a long time after would have better graphics. PCs have resolutions much higher than 1080p HDTV, and modern-day graphics cards have much more power than the Geforce 7800 256 MB that's in the 360. Only difference is that Halo 2 wasn't a straight port from the Xbox version, like most other companies do.

funny how they are extremely comparing a game 4 yrs old to a new release (when it first came out). You'd hope it'd look better.

Hmm, strangely I only see a slight difference, which doesn't seem to make people that excited over it.

I cant wait to get the Halo 2 for my pc. I already have a 360 and even that is good. Halo 3, GoW, and COD4 made me go to the 360. yes i do know that cod4 is out for the pc and ps3 but everyone told me that it is awsome on the 360. And Crysis made me go to the pc. I just got Halo Wars and I download Halo 1 on the XBL, and I have Halo 3 so I need one more to complete it.

Go Vista!! I've always loved the Halo series but just couldnt drag myself to get an xbox for it. Got a PS2 before the original xbox console and the lure of MGS4 made getting a PS3 a no-brainer. But when Crysis, DoW, SC2 and D3 convinced me to buy a new PC, I picked up this for vista its awesome

both comparisons at GS (video and article) horribly missrepresent how Halo2 looks on both the Xbox and the 360. You can clearly tell that the images in the article comparison were grossly enlarged to get the similar images. Halo2 looks great on the Xbox and even better on the 360. The pictures used make it look worse than most of the launch titles for the Xbox.

Too bad Vista is such an unstable and unreliable OS so far. I went back to Win XP after a week of vista. ill get back to it maybe after a few service packs r released. For now, not even Halo 2 will make me change my mind.

Good point Badget. If you can play it on the 360. Go play it on the 360. For us. The ones that do not have a 360, ... or in my case, HAD a 360, we shall play it on the PC and be happy.

360update improved the graphics of halo2 with a patch

it can still be played on the 360, even if it wasn't released on it...

i dont see much difference, plus you cant compare it with 360 because it was never on 360.
