When i first played halo 2, i was a little dissapointed by the cut scenes and how some textures were popping in and out and stuff, but since then i have played the game and have fallen in love with it. To start, the guns. The guns are the best part of the game, the sounds and graphics are flawless, and u could not ask for more for a fps. The guns are well balanced and every gun is fun to use. The only thing about the guns is that some of them u cannot cary enough ammo (battle rifle and carbine) there might be some others, but those are at the top of my mind. The only other dissapointment i have is that the human sniper rifle does not it its cross hair all the time (to be expected becuase of realism) so u might miss an important shot, but its not the big of a deal. Secondly, the campaign. I thought the campaign was awsome, although i was a little dissapointed that it was not the whole covenant attacking earth thing, i own all three of the novels and if u have read them, then u know that halo 2 would not fit the story at all if the covenant were attacking earth, cause the attack force was destroyed my master chief. I was annoyed at the ending, but its also the most perfect set-up for halo 3, and im definitely looking forward to whenever that comes out, and february 9th (if u have beat the game on legendary). The levels are fun, and if u play the game on heroic or legendary, then the campaign is as long if not longer and harder than halo 1, so i don't believe anything about the campaign being shorter is true, especially becuase there are no repeating level designs, so i thought the campaign had a new fresh feeling to it, and all of the levels are fun. Mutliplayer is a blast to say the least. Combat is sped up from halo 1 and alot more intest at times, and say goodbye to the 3 shot kills from the pistol. The maps are done very well, and u will recognize obvious levels from halo 1 that have had a makeover. The play on live is not laggy, and always fun, and the ranking system is well set up. Everything else is good, replay value, sound, anything else i can think of adds up, and this is such a good game. Not the hyped up halo attacks earth, but if u read the books then u would have not gotten into the hype. So i give halo 2 9.9.
