Halo 2 is one of the most anticipated games ever, and is one of the best games ever!
In Halo 2, once again, you play as Masterchief and at the beginning of the game the ship that you are on is being attacked by Covenant ships. You must defend the station from the Covenant and then you get to defend Earth. Which is pretty neat, like you'll actually be on Earth walking through buildings or driving a warthog or something like that. But the game acually takes you away from Earth pretty quickly, and you won't be playing as Masterchief for the entire game ... and acually the game features alot of information about the history about the Covenant and there believes. This new twist may dissapoint some huge Halo fans because they just want to blow the Covenant away and will be frustrated that the way the story goes for. And the story for this game just isn't as satisfying as the originals, it takes about 10 to 12 hours to beat .. but you'll probably want to re-visit the campaign multiple times. So the story isnt as memorale as the first Halo, but it is still pretty impressive. Then there the multiplayer, and the multiplayer is probably the best part about the game (especially if you have online). This multiplayer, if you have online, is probably the best reason to purchase this game. This game has also some new features that weren't seen in the original, like now you can board vehicles. Simply you just get to the side of a ghost (for example) and hit X and then you hop on and hit off the driver. Also now you can diel weild weapons, this makes for a powerful punch but it has its problems. Like you can't throw grenades, and you can't melee without dropping the off-hand weapon. And there have also been some new weapons and absenses. Some new weapons include the beam rifle (Covenant), Carbine (Covenant), Battle Rifle (Human), Brute Shot (Covenant), SMG (Human), and the Energy Sword that some Gold Elites used to piss you off in Halo 1. Some absenses are the Assault Rifle from halo 1, and the flamethrower (if you had the PC version).
Overall, this game is a superb game and lives up to all the hype that was thrown its way. So what can a say ... Halo is a masterpiece and it really is the must have FPS game for the xbox.
