Making a sequel to the amazing original Halo is a tough job to follow, but thankfully, bungie did a nice job.

User Rating: 9.3 | Halo 2 XBOX
3 years. Three, long, painful years, yet its here. Let me first start off saying that i have three ratings for this game. here they are: You have xbox live: 9.6 You have lots of friends and have halo 2 parties, no xlive:9.3 You want this for the singleplayer:8.1 Gameplay: Well, pretty much the same as the first one, except they made a few minor changes. The changes are: dual wielding, hijack vehicles, and a few other things. Now, while i don't like dual wielding, i certainly won't take off for it. However, i will take off for the game feeling rushed (the number of glitches are astounding. People will pop up in movies, areas will be see through, etc). I know its harsh, but you just can't ignore it. As with every other fps ive ever played, i don't feel like its me running, but i have a camera and im sliding it along. Im no tasking for my view to be bobabling around, but there is no way in hell you can strafe left and snipe somone in real life. Graphics: Alright, i know i said that things pop up and that there are see through areas and i took off for it in gameplay. Im sure a bunch of you are wondering why. Well, its because those problems interfere with the gameplay and imersion, not the depth. The graphics are atounding, the people don't have flat faces this time, there are reflections and a plethora of other subtle details. The only time the quality is less than stellar is when you are in a glitch, and even then its great. Explosions are satisfying and look and feel very realistic. Sound: Just like in the last one, this sound is amazing. There are very few things that i have ever heard (im not just talking about videogame music) that surpasses this music. It has a nice contrast, there is music when there should be, and silence when there should be. The music feels constant, doesn't sound looped at all, and sounds like a 10 hour song, not 6 10 minute ones played over and over. Great voices, for both the humans and aliens, along with the monsters. The sounds are great, and the only problem i have (and have with all shooter games) is that that the gunfire is not loud enough. Im not sure how many of you have actually fired a 30.06, but if you have, you know its not loud, its deafining. Value: Quite frankly, the single player sucks. Invironments are great, the movies are great, but overall, its just an incoherent mess of an unfinished story with lots of last minute cuts made to get it out in time. However, the fact that it has co-op is a major plus, seeing as how this game is ten times more fun in co-op than it is other wise, and has with its multiplayer, it is still a great game. This is definitiely the best multiplayer game, though i still prefer the original halo to the second. Still, only about 10 percent of the people who have an xbox have x box live, so you can't just rely on this game for its multiplayer. Tilt: Well, i love this game, but i still have to give it a 9. In frank, its unfinished, and no matter how great it is, its still unfinished. Well, there you have it, a review on HALO 2.
