In Halo, you took on the role of a fighting cyborg known only by his rank, Master Chief. You fought alongside earth's military, who are engaged in a war against the Covenant, who are different races of aliens who joined forces to destroy all humans. Halo 2 starts on earth. The covenant start attacking earth, which is very bad, and Master Chief has to stop them. There's a new feature in Halo 2, and that's dual wielding. I'm tired of hearing those words, and I'm sure you are, too. So, is there another expresion I could use? Alright, I thought of one. You can hold two, count em, TWO guns. But doing this eliminates the option of throwing grenades, so if want to throw grenades, you'll have to drop the left weapon. The dual wielding, or, TWO GUNS, feature can be useful. And it's not like Goldeneye, where can only carry two of the same weapons, so you can mix and match, and see which combination works best for you. Since I'm on the topic of weapons, let's talk about some of them. The asault rifle from the original Halo is strangly missing. Instead, there's the battle rifle, which fires three round burst at a time. It's okay, but I miss the asault rifle. There's also the Covenant carbine, which is some sort of energy rifle. I gotta tell you, I hated this thing. It's weak, you can't find much ammo for it. I prefer using other weapons. The graphics in Halo 2 are amazing. Water looks very real, buildings and plantlife look very detailed. One problem I notice in the beginning of the game was during cutscenes, I saw objects popping up a little late. It's a glitch, methinks. In closing, I have to say, Halo 2 is not quite perfect, but it's pretty damn close.
