Why Bungie shut down multiplayer live ?

Microsoft shut down online support for the original XBox back in April; you're kinda behind.
Apparently, having support for the originals was so unused, it was no longer cost-effective to keep it running, so they shut it down.
Or, it could be possible that they didn't like the idea of people paying nothing to play online (access to XBox Live for the original's games was included with the Silver Accounts, which is free with the system). -
Well......hardly anyone ever played originals, though I did, and it was costing too much to keep running(no charge for online play) so they cut the online multiplayer, and stopped making games backwards compatible:(
