Can be very engaging if you're able to look past the 8-bit graphics presentation.

This is an unusual game with an unsual goal - to save the world in 30 seconds. In 8-bit color. It's like watching a Lord of the Rings movie fast-forwarded 360 times that's running in a Sega Saturn console, whoa. Though the concept may be alien to most, the gradual and intuitive learning curve proves to draw you into the game for every 30 sec you invest your time in it.

One of the best features is the funny and almost modern dialogue that's written for both kids and adults in mind. Text descriptions of unlockable bestiary and collections are laugh-out-loud as well, which adds warmth and charm in this unassuming game. The best one I read is: Rafflesia (monster) - A carnivorous plant. Lures people in with 30% off coupons.

Well, Half-minute Hero is designed for casual gamers and game enthusiasts on-the-go. You can't really take it seriously, yet if you can allow yourself to go back in time as a kid with a Nintendo Gameboy as his soulmate, Half-minute Hero can really suck you in.
