A great single player game experience

User Rating: 8.5 | Half-Life PS2
If there is a game in FPS genre has a story of its this game is Half-Life. Available also for PS2 being released in the early years of life of machine and following just the same game came out some years before on PC.
This game is focused on story mainly because Starring character scientist Freeman is YOU, alright you make possible his actions and you participate directly to scenes varied game put in front of you. Gentle and spectacular premise of a trip in a big research facility evolves in a accident of huge proportions that involves all a series of factors along all a series of characters too. Story is the element of most great impact in this game, makes in ist development really hard if not impossible to give up because you want to know how this happens but above all how it ends, just like reading a great Stephen King's Book.
Graphics and Sound department as i said in a previous forum debate i found not just at the top of the condition. PS2 port feels not adequate to run perfectly this game, and it is understandable because game put you in front of no end spectacular and explosive scenes framerate drops in some points i found above all battling some bosses at the end of the game. In any case game is not unplayable and also if the sound often lags in the scene most noiseful it doesn't matter, game is marvellous so as it is.
In other words a great FPS game, i had no time to test multiplayer modes i heard they aren' t neither bad too. Without doubt a game won't ever forgotten also in this console transition that for technical reasons put it a step under its original PC game.
