Jason Ocampo readies his crowbar for a return to City 17 in this review of Half-Life 2: Episode One.
Episode 2 makes episode 1 look like junk. It was fun for its time, but there is so little story in episode 1, it really just felt like a 5 hour gameplay demo.
Half-life remains the best game series I have ever played, it?s not like other games were they actually fail in the next sequels or was kind of a letdown. Ever time Valve brings out a new game in the Half-life series it just keeps getting better, they actually listen to what people liked and didn't like in the past Half-life games and they actually upgrade it in the next episodes, also adding new surprises and very memorable moments. I can't wait to see what they will do in Episode 3, and oh boy when Half-life 3 comes out with all the experience they got over the years plus hopefully an upgraded version of Source, it will undoubtedly be the best FPS of all time.
@UBERxL33T I was just agreeing that it is a very realistic possibility. Look at L4D2 and compare it's graphics to ME2 and tell me they should just update source again to compete. I don't think it looks bad, but I wouldn't mind seeing a huge Source engine over hall for EP3 or HL3.
@sliperywhenwet6 Why would they change their engine? All they have to do is keep updating Source, which is what they have been doing for years.
"The good news at least with the episodes is that we won't have to wait as long for the releases" haha..
this was awesome as was halflife one and two. Episode 2 was even BETTER. I miss hearing the screams of the combine as i blast them in the face.
@thevgamer never thought about that. they probably know source is getting old. they may be either A getting used to a newer engine that was already made or making their own. that wouls certainly expalin tha wait. hopefully it will continue the thing were EP1 was better the hl2 and ep2 was better then ep1. so in other worsds ep3 is better then ep2 (which was amazing.)
All I have to say about this game is that it has really good gameplay! But the story for this game is a really weak link. Just play HL2 and HL2: E2 if you really want story. But, awsome gameplay!
Half Life is the best game EVER!!!! best story and best gameplay, and did i mention the graphics? AMAZING!!!
