This game is really boring, a waste of time and money. I played Puzzle Quest and enjoyed it, even if it's a very simple title; this one is just too easy and technically mediocre. Yes, you can use different beasts, but the gameplay will vary only superficially; bonus items are only 4 (4!); the map is horrible and the user interface clumsy; the help function and manual poor, the graphic old dated; supported resolution ridiculous; music and sound unimpressive (but this is the last problem, obviously).
The gameplay is identical too the classic of PopCap Games "Bejeweled twist"; you combine colored gems twisting groups of 4 gems clockwise. Some special abilities can be triggered (but automatically, you don't choose when as in Puzzle Quest) accumulating mana of the same color of your beast. If you think this is fine, and you don't have Puzzle Quest, do yourself a favor and buy Puzzle Quest.
Disappointing, try something different if you are not masochist.
