An amazing look-back at how great SEGA games should be.

This game is great, it's going to remain great for a very long time.

Okay, think Metal Slug with kick-ass melee special moves, slightly easier boss battles and guns that can temporarily transform into super-weapons. That is what this game is.

Most of the bosses require strategy to beat. If you don't know what you're doing or what the enemy's weakness is, you can have trouble with the bosses. Oddly enough, the final boss is the easiest in the game. It is possible to beat him with 30 health. That's 15% of your starting life.

I like that you can choose characters.
There's Red, he is the more serious trooper who follows orders. His main weapon has a wider spread then Blue's gun. His main gun's super-weapon is a rapid-fire bazooka, it does more damage then Blue's, but it's more awkward to control and it aims in fewer directions.
Next is Blue. He is the less serious trooper who, most of the time makes me think he would rather be somewhere else. His main weapon is a blue laser beam, it shoots in a fine line and is easy to control. The super-weapon for this is a flamethrower that shoots blue, long-range flames. While it does less damage then Red's, it has a better rate-of-fire and is easy to aim.

There are two other weapons that both characters can use. The Burst Gun and Homing Laser. The BG creates a small wave of flame that creates an energy release when it makes contact with an enemy. This does surprising damage. It's super-weapon is a wide-spread burst of flame that can hit multiple enemies at once. Not much explanation is needed for the HL. It's SW is releasing a large burst of green smoke which attacks enemies until it's time expires.

Yeah, buy it.
