Giant Mech on Mech action on a tiny system!

User Rating: 9.5 | Gundam Battle Chronicle PSP
When I began to play the game I was surprised at it. It looks very good for a PSP game, it runs neatly if only a few hiccups here and there.

The game itself is in japanese, but the stuff here is organized pretty good.

Story Mode

Like the usual Gundam game, you pick a side, being either the EFSF or Zeon, but this won`t make much of a difference the missions being roughly the same in either side.

When you first begin, you`ll quicky start off by selecting a pilot and a partner, then begin with either Training Missions or Story Missions, these missions at first are incredibly hard and get harder when you have to endure 3 stages in 1 mission after about 4 easy missions, you`ll decide to train your GM and then tackle said mission, it can get boring. Then you receive a Gundam and notice that your training was a waste of time.

After you get the hang of the controls, it gets better and better, you`l notice how fast the game really is, it gets even better when you have to face off against massive bosses like a huge brown Zaku thing.

Aside from looking at Gundam favorites like Zeong or the prototype RX-78, the story mode is composed of 3 era`s. The Original Gundam, Stardust Memories ( The GP01 gundam ) and the Z gundam era. The 2nd era will feel natural to you and blaze through it till you get to Neue Ziel ( another huge boss thing, but it has a shield) which is an incredebly hard and tedius fight, since you have to knock its barrier before you can damage it, and the thing moves so fast it regenerates its shield before you can get any decent damage.

The game also sports a classic Duel Mode in which you pick your mech and the opponents as well, this mode is especially fun after you unlock all 140 Mobile Suits.

The game also has a Password mode in which you can unlock extra missions to keep the game fun awhile longer.

Overall, The game is a grand addition to anybody who has a PSP and the ability to import and ofcourse, Gundam fans, with great graphics and a fun fast paced gameplay, you should give this game a go!
